Citroën AMI: increasingly widespread marketing

The Citroën Ami in its 2023 pop version

The Ami is always a surprise....Since its launch in 2020, the Citroën Ami has exceeded all sales expectations and won over the public, selling almost 43,000 units in just three years. A real surprise for the brand, which did not expect such enthusiasm.

Initially launched in just five European countries, the Ami has rapidly expanded its reach. In addition to its success in France, it has also conquered Italy, becoming the second most important market with almost 6,000 units sold at the end of November. Even the United Kingdom has succumbed to its charms, with a presence on the market for the past year, even though its marketing was not planned there.

Beyond the borders of Europe, the Citroën Ami conquered new territories in 2023. From Switzerland to Reunion, via Martinique and Guadeloupe, the brand's little chip is gradually establishing itself on the world scene and Citroën has big ambitions for 2024.

Friend to conquer new countries in 2024

Indeed, the year 2024 will mark a turning point for the Citroën Ami, with its introduction on the Brazilian market and possibly in Argentina after final tests. It must be said that the Ami would work wonders in these South American megacities, as its compactness and manoeuvrability make it the ideal car for these large cities, where its electric engine allows you to travel without CO² emissions.

After Switzerland in 2023, Citroën plans to launch the Ami in new European countries in 2024. Denmark, Slovenia and Bulgaria will open their doors to this little automotive revolution, further boosting sales. L'Ami is thus continuing to mark its territory and amaze the public since its presentation in 2020, and will continue to do so in 2024 on a much larger territory than envisaged at its launch.

In conclusion, the Citroën Ami, although initially conceived as an urban mobility solution, has proven to be much more than a simple city car. Its success in Europe and beyond, particularly in Tunisia, combined with its adaptation to different markets, suggests a promising future for this small car with a big impact. The Ami's story has only just begun and its journey continues to captivate fans of automotive innovation around the world.
