With 27,003 units sold in January 2023, the automotive market for electrified vehicles shows growth of 41.3% to reach a market share of 19.5%. This growth is driven by both electric vehicles (+50% to 16,680 units) and hybrid vehicles (+29.3% to 10,323 units).

In this market, the C5 Aircross is in second place with 564 units sold and a slight drop in sales of 3%, giving it a market share of 5.46%, well above that of the overall market. Although the Citroën SUV is in second place behind the Peugeot 3008, the gap between the two SUVs is significantly reduced as only 4 units separate the Citroën and Peugeot SUVs, with the Peugeot SUV showing a very significant drop of -54% compared to January 2022. The hybrid C5 Aircross represents 28% of total sales of the C5 Aircross in France in January, a higher share than that of the Peugeot 3008 (21%) and which should increase further with the arrival of the 180 hp hybrid version.

The Stellantis group has three models in the top three on the hybrid market, with the DS 4 E-Tense completing the podium with 549 units sold, an increase of 395% and representing 60.20% of the DS4's sales.

In terms of electric vehicles, the C4 does not appear in the top 10 in France, but Citroën does place two of its models in the electric utility segment, a segment which has grown by 126.9% and which is beginning to gain weight as it now represents 7.7% of the utility market. It is the ë-Jumpy which is Citroën's best seller in this market with 171 units and an increase of 211%, while the ë-Berlingo is in 8th place with 122 units and an increase of 82%. Sales of the Citroën ë-Jumpy therefore represent 18.17% of total Jumpy sales, while those of the ë-Berlingo represent 14.34% of total Berlingo sales. Citroën is therefore performing better than the electric utility market, a sign that the brand's electrification is progressing and that it is stronger on this market than on the overall market.
