Stellantis achieves best European market share in a year in February 2025

Stellantis in Europe in February 2025

The Stellantis Group continues its dynamic development and confirms its recovery in Europe. In February 2025, the manufacturer recorded a market share of 18.1% of the total passenger car and commercial vehicle market in the EU29 zone. This is its best result for twelve months and marks a strong comeback after a difficult year in 2024. This growth is due in particular to the success of its new models, including the Citroën C3, and the excellent performance of its commercial vehicle division, Stellantis Pro One.

A remarkable development in the passenger car market

In the passenger car segment, Stellantis consolidated its second place in Europe in February with a market share of 18.1%, up from 17.1% in January. The Group maintained its leadership in three key markets: France, Italy and Portugal, while also recording significant growth in Austria.

One of the main drivers of this performance is the new Citroën C3, which is already positioning itself as one of the most popular models in Europe. In France, it has become the best-selling electric model, a success also observed in Italy. In addition, the Peugeot 2008 and Peugeot 3008 dominate the SUV segment in France, while the Fiat Panda remains the best-selling model in Italy.

Stellantis Pro One: a proven leader in commercial vehicles

The commercial vehicle market is a true arena of dominance for Stellantis. In February, the Stellantis Pro One division achieved a record market share of 32%, up from 29.5% in January. This performance confirms its leadership in eight of the ten largest European markets, particularly in France, Italy and Portugal, where the market share reached an impressive 65.1%.

The Group is also establishing itself in the electric commercial vehicle market, with a market share of 34.1% in February and 32.4% year-to-date. This means that every third electric commercial vehicle sold in Europe bears a Stellantis badge. This dominance is due to a wide range of products tailored to the needs of professionals, including Citroën, Peugeot, Opel/Vauxhall and Fiat Professional.

After a difficult year, Stellantis is back on track for growth in Europe. With its best market share in a year, the group is benefiting from the success of its new models, notably the Citroën C3, and its dominance in the commercial vehicle segment. Detailed sales figures for Europe will be published on Wednesday, providing further evidence of this positive momentum.
