Since its launch in July 2022, the 1.2 Puretech petrol engine has been available in 82 and 110 bhp versions. The 1.2 Turbo engine was discontinued for a few weeks in order to bring it into line with the new anti-pollution standards that have come into force in India. Now it is back in the range, with the C3's new Shine finish.
In addition to the C3 Aircross, which has been in the limelight for the past few weeks, Citroën is continuing to draw attention to the C3 with the successive unveilings of electric motorisation and the Shine finish, which gives the C3 a more upmarket look than it had previously. This new Shine version inevitably extends the C3's range, which now includes three levels of finish and three engines (two thermal and one electric).
After a few weeks off the road for an update, the 1.2 Turbo engine returns to the C3 range with the following prices
Feel 1.2 Turbo 110: 828,000 rupees or €9,230
Shine 1.2 Turbo 110: 880,000 rupees or €9,800
With 110 bhp, the C3's 1.2 Turbo engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and allows the C3 to be a bit unique in its segment as the Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis do not offer a turbocharged engine. But this turbo engine allows the C3 to compete with the lower versions of the Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite SUVs, which widens the range of possibilities for this C3.
