Since the beginning of the year, Citroën has performed well in Spain with a 31% increase in sales (PC+LCV). These results are the result of a range that is appreciated by Spaniards, but also of an electrified range that is increasingly contributing to the brand's sales and has made Citroën one of the leading brands on this market since the beginning of the year.
On the electric vehicle market, Citroën is in second place with a market share of 8.8% and 696 registrations, an increase of 204% compared to January and February last year. With 305 registrations, the Citroën ë-C4 achieved a cumulative penetration of 4.9%, making it the best-selling "Made in Spain" electric car in Spain. The Citroën Ami continues to dominate the electric quadricycle market for another month.
In terms of the overall market (thermal + electric), Citroën is gaining ground, with 9,330 registrations of passenger and commercial vehicles, up 31% on last year and a penetration of 5.9%. The best-selling Citroën model so far this year is the C4, with 2,227 registrations, while the Citroën C5 X also leads the D-segment saloon category with 258 registrations.
In light commercial vehicles, Citroën is taking full advantage of the strong growth in electric engines. With a range led by the Citroën ë-Berlingo, which offers "zero emissions" on all models, the brand is the leader in this electric market with 391 registrations so far this year, up 598% on the same period last year, and a market share of 23%.
