Launched in the first half of 2022, the new Citroën C5 X has already won several awards in Europe, including Car of the Year in Lithuania. Earlier this year, it won the prestigious Women's World Car of the Year award.
Created in 2009 by Sandy Myhre, the aim of this jury is to give women in the automotive world the opportunity to express their vision of the models coming onto the market. The jury is therefore made up entirely of women and is composed of 63 automotive journalists from 45 different countries around the world. They have the difficult task of defining the best cars in six categories, including the Best Large Car, which the C5 X wins this year.
For the jury, the Citroën C5 X "offers exceptional comfort, very good interior space and a very attractive design". This award therefore rewards the qualities of the brand's new large touring car, which has already sold more than 45,000 units in China and Europe and was the best-selling large general-purpose sedan in Europe in the second half of 2012. .
Available with a combustion engine, the new C5 X has a hybrid offer that already represents 60% of orders, an offer that should increase in the coming weeks with the launch of a new 180 bhp hybrid engine. This new offer will make the C5 X's hybrid range more accessible and thus increase its sales.
With this new award, the C5 X confirms the warm welcome it has received from the automotive press, which has already rewarded it several times in recent months. It has to be said that the brand's large saloon combines the qualities of comfort and living space with the originality of a body that combines saloon, estate car and SUV.
