CHINA auto market January 2023 report

The year 2023 got off to a bad start for the Chinese automobile market, which suffered a very sharp decline in January due to a number of factors. Firstly, the lifting of the anti-covid measures led to a sudden increase in patients, then the Chinese New Year holidays were held in the second fortnight, resulting in fewer working days and therefore less production. Overall, the market fell by 32.9% to 1,397,000 vehicles produced.s.

In this context, sales of:

• CITROËN are down 64.3% to 2,390 units

• DS are down 94.6% to 15 units

• PEUGEOT are down 69.5% to 1,905 units

• JEEP are 4 units, the brand is no longer manufactured in the country.

In total, Stellantis sales are 4,314 units
