Citroën's small urban SUV has replaced the C3 Picasso on the European market with much better results than its predecessor, as the C3 Aircross sold more than 100,000 units per year in Europe before its sales dropped significantly since the emergence of the Covide-crisis. However, in 2021, more than 68,000 C3 Aircrosses have found buyers in Europe, which is close to the best years of the C3 Picasso.
Now over 5 years old, the C3 Aircross is entering the final stages of its career, with its replacement due to arrive in Europe during 2024, a few months after the launch of the future C3. Like it, the future C3 Aircross will be based on the CMP platform, which will allow it to be fitted with electric and, it seems, hybrid engines. With engines for which demand continues to grow, the future C3 Aircross will also be able to count on a pool of existing customers to extend Citroën's success and presence in the urban SUV segment.
