New Citroën C3: in Turkey from September

The new Citroën C3 with Selen Alkim in Turkey

Citroën continues to strengthen its presence in Turkey after a record year of sales in 2023. The brand is preparing to break new records in 2024 thanks to the eagerly awaited launch of the new C3 next September in its first 100% electric version. This launch is particularly strategic for Citroën on the Turkish market, where the brand has strong ambitions.

A very important new C3

The new Citroën C3 will therefore be available on the Turkish market from September 2024, initially with a 100% electric version that shares the characteristics of the European versions, namely a 113 hp engine and a 44 kWh LFP battery that allows an autonomy of 440 km in an urban cycle.

For Selen Alkım, General Manager of Citroën Turkey, "We will start our launch in Turkey only with the electric version. It stands out from the competition thanks to its safety features right from the start, its technological equipment, its striking design and its claim to be the most comfortable vehicle in its segment. "I think the Citroën ë-C3, which will be on the road in September with only its electric version, will show what an assertive model it is at the price level we intend to offer".

If the new C3 is important for Citroën in terms of sales, it is also important for the electrification of its range, which aims to increase the share of electric cars in its sales. As Selen Alkim explains: "The new ë-C3 will be the 3rd model in our range of electric vehicles, after the electric C4 and the electric C4X. With our new vehicle, we aim to increase the share of electric vehicles in our total sales to 15 percent this year and then to 20 percent in 2025. We will initially launch our C3 in Turkey only in the electric version, which stands out from the competition thanks to its safety features from the outset, its technological equipment, its striking design and its claim to be the most comfortable vehicle in its segment. I believe that the Citroën C3 will show what an assertive model it is at the price level we intend to offer. At the beginning of next year, we will introduce the hybrid version to our customers. The launch of our new model will therefore be completed in January with the joint sale of the hybrid and electric engine options."

An ambitious year 2024

After a record-breaking year in 2023, Citroën remains ambitious for 2024 in Turkey, where it intends to beat this record, relying on the new C3. Building on the success of the C4X on the Turkish market, the brand is well on the way to achieving this performance, especially as, in addition to the new C3, the brand has also launched the new Berlingo in private and utility versions, as well as the new Jumpy and Jumper. The revamped MPV range should enable Citroën to continue its excellent performance and bring Turkey into the brand's top 5 global markets.

With these innovations and its strategic expansion in Turkey, Citroën is once again demonstrating its ability to innovate and meet the expectations of a diverse clientele. The launch of the new C3, in its electric and hybrid versions, marks a turning point for the brand in Turkey, which is establishing itself as a major player in the transition to more sustainable mobility. Much more than just a car, the new C3 embodies Citroën's commitment to innovation and comfort, while responding to the growing demand for green mobility.
