Future DS 4 electric: seen for the first time

The future electric DS 4 under test

We have been talking about it for a long time, and now it has come true, as you can see the very first photo of the future electric DS 4, which will soon complete the range of DS compact saloons.

DS Automobiles announced a few months ago that the French luxury brand would be offering a 100% electric version of its DS 4, completing a range that until now has only included thermal and plug-in hybrid engines, recently joined by a hybrid MHEV version.

This new electric DS 4 has never been seen in real life, something that has now been done exclusively for Passionnément Citroën.

No doubt, since this DS 4 is recharged on an Ionity terminal, it is the future electric DS 4, the presence on this terminal allows it to be distinguished, since there are no other differences between the thermal/hybrid versions and this future electric version.

It is difficult to give the precise characteristics of this future electric DS 4, but it seems that it will be equipped with the engine of the new Peugeot e-3008 delivering a power of 210 hp, which would be associated with a slightly larger battery (around 60 kWh) allowing a range of more than 400 km for the compact sedan of DS.

Note that this future electric version allows to see the new badge of DS finishes, announced a few months ago with a range refocused around two levels Pallas and Étoile, it is this last level that we see here, recognisable by the star badge on the bonnet.

In conclusion, these first photos in real conditions allow us to see that the electric DS 4 is indeed a reality and that it is very close to an official presentation that should be made around the start of the school year. This will allow us to know the characteristics of this important electric version for DS, as it will accompany the transition to a new era for the brand with the imminent launch of the D85, the future DS 8, which will become the new top of the range for the brand, having become 100% electric.
