A few months after the marketing of the second generation of DS 4, DS automobiles slightly overhauled its compact sedan by redefining the range and improving the performance of its plug-in hybrid version, now credited with 13% more autonomy.
Also, DS is reviewing the range of the DS 4 by providing it with a new opera finish which is placed at the top of the range and which incorporates the maximum of refinement and technologies as standard. And, to stick to the new DS 7 and DS 3, both of which have seen their chrome fade, DS is now equipping the DS 4, on the Performance and Performance + finishes, with DS Automobiles, DS 4 and E- emblems. TENSE now available in Black on the grille and tailgate, while the door sill protectors become Textured Black.
DS is also rationalizing the range by unifying the Bastille and Bastille + finishes in a single Bastille finish equipped with Black Basalt tortoiseshell decors, PolyAmbient lighting, Clous de Paris Platinum guillochage and a closed center console.
Finally, the DS 4 simplifies its range of engines on the new DS 4 range now comprising gasoline and diesel engines (130 horsepower each) and the plug-in hybrid version of 225 horsepower. This one sees its autonomy increased to 62 kilometers, an increase of 13% compared to previously thanks to a software improvement.

In conclusion, DS automobiles is reviewing the DS 4 range by simplifying the engine offer and the range of finishes. a necessary rationalization at a time when loads are exploding and shortages continue to disrupt production. But this reorganization can also mark an admission of a certain weakness of the controls for DS 4 which does not manage to do better than the DS 7 which is however much more expensive.
