After renewing its two SUVs, DS did not forget its large saloon, which benefited from minor improvements in May, making it more modern and increasingly refined. The large DS 9, which has had a discreet but all in all honourable career, thus receives a boost that could well increase its sales.
An interior redesigned for the benefit of technology...
Like all the cars in the Stellantis group, the DS 9 is equipped with the group's new multimedia system, called DS Iris System, which offers much smoother navigation than the old system. Customisable, the DS Iris System can also be controlled by voice, thanks to a voice recognition system that understands natural language and allows the air conditioning, multimedia and navigation to be managed.
This new system is presented on a 12-inch high-resolution touchscreen, which also allows you to view a 360-degree view provided by new high-resolution digital cameras, or access Mirror Screen, CarPlay and Android Auto functions via Wi-Fi or two USB Type C ports. Note that the navigation system offers a level of probability of finding a parking space street by street in the main cities, which is particularly welcome for a large saloon of almost 5m that the DS9 is.

This DS 9 vintage 2023 is also an opportunity for DS Automobiles to introduce the Esprit de Voyage collection, already present on the DS 4 and DS 7. The interior is decorated in light and bright colours with full nappa leather seats. Grey Pearl watch straps. The centre console, dashboard and door panels are all finished in Pearl Gray Nappa leather. The headliner is fully lined in Pebble Gray Alcantara®, as are the door armrests and the front and rear foot mat cords, which feature a special Zéphir stitching.
Pearl grey nappa leather is hot-embossed on the flap under the central screen, using a technique developed by DS Automobiles craftsmen to give relief to this unique shape. Inspired by the iconic guilloché work of Parisian watchmakers, the Clou de Paris marks the location of the DS DESIGN STUDIO PARIS, from which rays of light radiate out to trace a map of Europe. This design, created for the ESPRIT DE VOYAGE collection, is repeated in several ways for this collection. These lines are repeated on the doorsills, the monograms and the mirror shells by laser engraving.
Fine materials accompany the other elements of the interior with a Black Basalt grain leather steering wheel, an upper dashboard in Basalt Black Nappa leather and a rear parcel shelf in Black Alcantara®.
Externally, the E-TENSE 250 features new 19" CHAMBORD wheels with Anthra Grey matt finish, while the E-TENSE 4x4 360 retains 20" MUNICH wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.
The DS 9 M.Y. 23 ESPRIT DE VOYAGE is available in four colours: Crystal Pearl, Midnight Blue, Platinum Grey and Black Perla Nera.
DS has enriched the DS 9 range with a new Opéra version, added to the PERFORMANCE LINE + and RIVOLI + versions. This DS 9 Opéra comes with a high level of equipment, as it comes as standard with camera-controlled suspension, the Extended Safety Pack with Level 2 semi-autonomous driving, night vision or the famous Lounge Pack for rear passengers, including the Premium Leather rear centre armrest, Lounge headrests for the outboard seats, courtesy button to move the front passenger seat forward from the rear seats, extended dual-zone climate control and heated rear seats, massaging and ventilated side seats, sunroof, motorised boot, heated windscreen and alarm.
This new Opéra version is available in three different colours: OPERA ROUGE RUBIS, OPERA NOIR BASALT and the new OPERA GRIS PEARL.
The elegance of OPERA is reflected in the nappa leather upholstery, which is complemented by the DS logo embossed on the front of the head restraints, the rear seat, the centre console and the extended dashboard, regardless of the colour chosen. The RUBY RED and BASALT BLACK interiors also feature exclusive Art Leather upholstery with an enchanting finish. Another new feature on the DS 9 M.Y. 23 is the Alcantara headliner in Pebble Grey, which bathes the interior in a subdued light.
