DS at its highest in May in Italy


The DS automobiles range is very successful in Italy

In a market up 23.1% to 149,411 units sold, sales of the French luxury brand DS automobiles exploded, marking a unique performance for the brand in the Italian automotive market.

An exceptional month of May ended for DS Automobiles, which doubled its sales volumes compared to last year. Among the record results of the month, the best market share since the creation of the brand: 0.7% market share in the PC market, with an increase of 58% compared to 2022, in a market growing by 23 % only. Order intake is also very positive, with DS 7 and DS 4 remaining the Brand's best sellers. Results that clearly demonstrate that the French Premium Brand is making significant progress on the Italian market, making itself appreciated by an informed public, increasingly attentive to the environment but who do not intend to give up style and comfort. on board.

The excellent results for the month of May are part of the positive trend observed since the beginning of the year with sales up 40% compared to the same period in 2022, and a Premium market share up by 0.25pt.

So DS has been on the rise since the start of the year, posting a historic month of May in terms of market share. This growth is driven by the restyled DS 7 but also by the DS 4, which is performing excellently in the compact saloon segment since it ranks 8th in sales in its segment, ahead of the Renault Mégane and behind the Citroën C4 in posting sales up 58.92% to 1,327 units.
