Discover the slight changes to the redesigned Citroën C4 Cactus in Argentina

The 2023 Citroën C4 Cactus: a subtly refreshed design on the outside with modern upgrades on the inside. The body retains the distinctive and original silhouette of the outgoing model, but with smoother lines and sleeker design cues. Inside, the 2023 C4 Cactus offers significant upgrades, including a larger touchscreen and premium materials for improved comfort and technology.

After the first spy photo last week, Citroën unveils the first images of the restyled C4 Cactus, which, as expected, is more than light on the outside, with small details that give it a new modernity. The changes are even more significant on the inside, where the C4 Cactus is even more comfortable and connected.

Citroën is pursuing a surprising strategy in Latin America. While the brand will unveil the new C3 Aircross in ten days' time, which will be sold in the region as well as in India, the restyling of the C4 Cactus will only be unveiled in Argentina in a single Feel finish, with the other finishes to follow later.

The choice of Argentina for the restyling of the C4 Cactus seems logical as it is in this country that Citroën's small SUV performs best, reaching 17% market share in its segment in 2022, the fourth year of growth for the C4 Cactus.

As previously announced, the cosmetic changes to the exterior are minor, with the brand contenting itself with introducing a new Artense Grey colour to the entire range, as well as touches of Orange Pearl on the fog lights, air bumps and on the new decals located on the quarter panel and rear hatch, extremely minimal changes therefore for the C4 Cactus, complemented by new 16-inch alloy wheels in Onyx, available in diamond or black depending on the body colour.

Inside, the changes are more numerous, as the C4 Cactus receives a new seat design that takes up the capsule pattern of the European range, as well as new fabrics to further improve the comfort of Citroën's small SUV. The front door armrests also feature a new Black Onyx finish. As previously announced, the interior of the C4 Cactus features a new central console with an adjustable and sliding armrest, as well as two USB ports (one in front of the new storage compartment between the front seats and one in front of the second row). As with the C3, Citroën offers a unique cable organiser for the rear power socket, ideal for keeping cables tidy while rear-seat passengers' mobile phones are connected.

Finally, in terms of equipment, the C4 Cactus Feel version already includes the following elements 4 airbags, 2 front and 2 side in the front seats to ensure the safety of the occupants, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Traction Control (TC), Hill Start Assist, ABS brakes with electronic brake distribution, ISOFIX mountings in the rear seats, adjustable head restraints and 3-point inertia seat belts for all occupants, a reversing camera and speed cruise control.

In conclusion, the restyling of the C4 Cactus is therefore very minimal, being satisfied with some new decorations on the outside, while the interior changes more strongly without going as far as the adoption of the new touch screen indicated by the rumours. The C4 Cactus therefore retains the old multimedia system, which is still displayed on a small screen that is a little too low. After 4 years of growth and a solid first place on the Argentinian market in 2022, the C4 Cactus did not need a radical change and the new comfort and technology equipment will allow it to strengthen its competitiveness on this market. It remains to be seen how the higher versions, which will be unveiled later, will be modified and whether they will incorporate more innovations.
