Citroën sales in Brazil up 203% in 2023 thanks to the C3

A few days after the launch of the C3 Aircross, Citroën announced strong sales growth in Brazil, where the brand is taking full advantage of the new C3. While the first four months of 2022 were particularly good for Citroën, the brand experienced record growth in 2023, with sales up 203% over the same period.

Indeed, Citroën ended the month of April with many reasons to rejoice, with 2,311 units sold, a 4-fold increase compared to the same month last year. This solid sales performance was driven by the new Citroën C3, of which 1,965 units were sold last month, placing it 22nd in sales and 5th in its segment. Over the last 4 months, more than 16,000 C3s have been sold in Brazil since its launch, guaranteeing its presence in the top 5 of the segment.

These results confirm the brand's strategy in Brazil and throughout South America, where it aims to develop sales in the region through the CITROËN4ALL plan and the marketing of a range of three locally designed and manufactured cars, including the C3, which is the first to be marketed.

To make the C3 even more attractive, Citroën is offering to purchase the new Citroën C3 Live in 72 fixed instalments of R$999 (€180) with a 40% deposit. Customers can also opt for other versions and different financing plans to find the format that best suits their financial flow.

The new C3 starts at R$72,990 (€13,270) and comes standard with air conditioning, electric windows, stability and traction control with side start assist and daytime running lights. C3 owners can also benefit from a competitive service package for less than R$ 2 (€ 0.36) per day for three years, in addition to a parts basket and very accessible repair costs.

This good reception of the C3 allows Citroën to record excellent sales figures, which will be reinforced by the next launch of the new C3 Aircross, which will go on sale before the end of the year, but also by the new C4 Cactus, whose presentation of the restyled version should be fast, even if it has already been initiated in Argentina with the presentation of a new Feel finish, which inaugurates the modifications made to the brand's small SUV.
