Citroën present at the Giro-E in Italy

La Citroën ë-C4 de l'équipe Fly Citroën en Italie

On 4 May 2024, the Giro-E will begin its journey in Turin, marking the start of an exciting new edition. For Citroën, this event is much more than just participation: it is an opportunity to reinforce its commitment to sustainable mobility and to share its passion for cycling, a sport whose values resonate deeply with those of the brand.

Born in 2019, the Giro-E offers a unique electric cycling experience, taking place on the same routes and days as the Giro d'Italia, one of the world's most prestigious races. This convergence of cycling and electrification aims to raise awareness about the crucial challenges of energy transition, while providing an accessible experience for all, from amateurs to enthusiasts.

Unlike the Giro d'Italia, known for its long and demanding stages, the Giro-E offers shorter stages, with a daily distance ranging from 30 to 80 kilometers. This approach allows a wider audience to participate, while still providing a stimulating and rewarding experience.

The 2024 edition of the Giro-E promises to be exceptional, with a program comprising 20 stages crossing breathtaking landscapes and iconic cities. Each stage offers participants the opportunity to discover Italy's wonders while raising awareness about environmental sustainability challenges.

Citroën Italia, as a partner of the "FLY Citroën" team, plays an active role in this adventure, once again demonstrating its commitment to sustainability. Founded in 2013, the "FLY Citroën" team is involved in initiatives to raise awareness about sustainable mobility, in collaboration with companies and organizations that share the same values.

At the heart of this participation is the Citroën ë-C4 Electric, a symbol of the brand's commitment to electrification. As the protagonist of the Giro-E routes, this vehicle embodies Citroën's vision of sustainable mobility, offering an exceptional driving experience with zero CO2 emissions.

With its participation in the Giro-E, Citroën reaffirms its leadership in sustainable mobility and strengthens its connection with the world of cycling. This initiative is part of a global strategy aimed at making electrification accessible to all, while raising awareness among the public about the crucial challenges of environmental sustainability.
