Citroën continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable and accessible mobility with its new "Citroën Drive Castiglione Electric" project. This innovative initiative aims to electrify the famous tourist resort of Castiglione della Pescaia in Tuscany by providing the town council with a fleet of electric vehicles. Inaugurated in the presence of the Mayor, Elena Nappi, and Alessandro Musumeci, Marketing Director of Citroën Italia, this project marks an important step towards the future of green mobility in this picturesque region.
A strong commitment to electric mobility
Citroën supplied a fleet of Citroën Ami and Citroën ë-C4 vehicles, demonstrating its commitment to making electric mobility accessible to all. The Mayor of Castiglione della Pescaia, Elena Nappi, expressed her satisfaction and declared: "A green initiative like this could not be missing in our municipality, which for years has been recognised by certifications and initiatives aimed at protecting and safeguarding the environment. "
The project does not stop there. Citroën is also making exclusive offers to local residents to facilitate the purchase of electrified vehicles on favourable terms. This strategy aims to promote the use of electric vehicles not only by residents, but also by tourists and public services, guaranteeing smooth, quiet and CO2-free travel.
Alessandro Musumeci, Marketing Director of Citroën Italia, said: "We believe strongly in this project because it reflects our vision of an increasingly sustainable and responsible mobility of the future. The aim is to expand our range of low emission vehicles by soon electrifying 100% of the range. "
Citroën has already equipped several cities with its electric mobility solutions, demonstrating its leadership in this field. With initiatives such as Castiglione della Pescaia, the brand is innovating by offering solutions specifically adapted to local needs, while ensuring that these solutions remain simple and accessible to everyone.
The new C3 electric star
During the handover ceremony, the public had the opportunity to admire the new Citroën ë-C3, a model that promises to revolutionise electric mobility. Thanks to the "Citroën Social Electric" formula, this vehicle is available from 49 euros a month, making electric technology more accessible than ever.
Equipped with a 44 kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery, the new ë-C3 offers a range of up to 320 km in the WLTP cycle, which can reach 440 km in the urban cycle. It also benefits from fast charging, which allows it to go from 20% to 80% charge in just 26 minutes. This autonomy and charging speed make it the ideal choice for urban and suburban driving.
Luca Gori, owner of the Gori Group in Grosseto, added: "We are proud to be able to contribute to such an important project for the development of sustainable mobility and to encourage everyone to make increasingly green choices. "
In addition to providing electric vehicles, Citroën is also working in partnership with the city to raise awareness of the importance of sustainability. Together, Citroën and Castiglione della Pescaia are participating in "FLY Citroën", an initiative to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
In short, the "Citroën Drive Castiglione Electric" project represents a major step forward in the energy transition of Castiglione della Pescaia. Through its commitment and innovation, Citroën is paving the way for accessible and easy electric mobility for all, thus reinforcing its leadership in the field of sustainable mobility.
