Almost seven years after its launch, and while its successor is beginning to show its age, the Citroën C3 continues to record very good commercial results which allow it to be at the forefront, as in Greece, where it is first in sales for the month of February.
After coming second in sales in January 2023, the Citroën C3 continued in February with an increase in sales of 33.3%, placing it first in sales on the Greek market with 679 units and a market share of 6.8%. The C3 is ahead of the Peugeot 208 (624 units) as well as the Opel Corsa (518 units), making a trio for the Stellantis brands in Greece in February.
The C3 is, of course, Citroën's best seller, ahead of the C3 Aircross, which is doing remarkably well, with an increase of 733.3% (!) for 200 units, i.e. a market share of 2%, ahead of the Peugeot 2008 (67 units). The good performance of the C3 and C3 Aircross allowed Citroën to increase its sales by 124.2% with 917 units for a market share of 9.2%, putting the brand in third place on the Greek market against eleventh in 2022.
In the first two months of the year, the Greek car market recovered significantly, with sales up 46.2% to 20,488 units, and Citroën again outperformed the market. The brand's sales rose by 192.8% to 1,947 units, giving it a 9.5% share of the market and putting it in fourth place in terms of sales.
The C3 is in fact the brand's debut model, with sales up by 209.4% to 1,448 units, giving it a market share of 7.1%, second only to the Opel Corsa (1,573 units + 208.4%). The C3 Aircross was no slouch either, with sales up 606.7% to 424 units, giving it a market share of 2.1%.
Citroën's performance in Greece is therefore excellent, particularly thanks to the C3 and C3 Aircross, which accounted for more than 96% (!!) of the brand's sales in the first two months of the year.
