Citroën C3: exhibited in Milan among the 7 finalists for Car of the Year

The 2024 Citroën C3 in red

The new Citroën C3, launched this year, is one of the seven finalists for the prestigious Car of the Year 2025 award. As part of the events organised to decide the finalists, the cars were presented and tested in Milan, Italy, in Piazza Burri, in the heart of the CityLife shopping area.

A disruptive offer in the B-segment

Launched this year, the new Citroën C3 has caused a surprise by offering a 100% electric version at an unprecedented price. With an entry-level price of €23,300, or less than €20,000 after ecological bonus, the ë-C3 is the only electric car in the B-segment to reach this price threshold. Above all, it does so without compromising on autonomy, comfort, equipment or livability, qualities that have already earned it several international awards. The competition for the Car of the Year award is one of the most prestigious awards in the automotive industry and will further increase the visibility and recognition of the Citroën C3.

Since 6 December, the new Citroën C3 has been on display in Milan's Piazza Burri, alongside the six other finalists for the "Car of the Year" award. This event, organised by the Italian magazine "Auto", will allow enthusiasts and the curious to discover and test these iconic models until 15 December.

The organisation of this large-scale test reflects the importance attached to the selection of the winner by the international jury, made up of 60 journalists from 23 European countries. Created in 1964, the Car of the Year award is given each year to the most innovative and iconic model, all engines combined.

The Citroën C3, a success already confirmed in Italy

Since its launch, the Citroën C3 has made a good start on the Italian market with almost 19,000 orders, including 3,000 for the 100% electric version, representing more than 15% of orders. This result illustrates its attractiveness to Italian consumers, which is good news as the previous generation C3 had found its place in this important market, the second for Citroën. The continued acceleration in orders is therefore a positive sign for this fourth generation, which represents the vast majority of Citroën sales in Italy.

The Milan event is a valuable opportunity to strengthen the reputation of the Citroën C3 in Europe and in Italy in particular. The presence in the prestigious Piazza Burri and the opportunity for the public to test the cars with professional instructors as part of the Car of the Year selection will help to highlight the C3 and increase its visibility.

With this exhibition and other events leading up to the announcement of the winner on 10 January 2025, Citroën hopes not only to win over the jury, but also to attract new customers and confirm its success in Italy.
