A new boss for Citroën in Italy

Giovanni Falcone, nouveau directeur de Citroën en Italie

The waltz of the leaders continues at Stellantis and especially at Citroën with the arrival in Italy of a new boss to replace Marco Antonini. The new boss of the brand will be responsible for restoring sales in the country, which have been battered in this first half of the year after having resisted quite well in previous years.

Giovanni Falcone, 44, married and father of two children aged 7 and 9, with a degree in Economics from the University of Milan-Bicocca, is therefore the new Managing Director of Citroën in Italy, under the supervision of Santo Ficilia, Director of Stellantis Italy.

Originally from Arona, Giovanni Falcone began his career with the PSA Group in 2007. Prior to his current position, Giovanni Falcone worked in Peugeot Marketing, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility, from Head of Product at the beginning, to Product and Pricing, and finally Marketing Director, constantly improving the image and awareness of the brand in Italy and contributing to the conquest of the podium in its segment for the e-208 and e- 2008.

The growth in marketing was interspersed with experience in sales, first as Area Manager and then as Regional Director for cars and commercial vehicles for the central and southern Italian market, where he had the opportunity to get to know many entrepreneurs who are still part of the Stellantis business network and to understand the company's priorities at 360 degrees.

Among other things, Giovanni Falcone was also in charge of Sales & After Sales Quality for the Italian Citroën / Peugeot dealerships, an experience that allowed him to come into contact with the After Sales sector and all the processes required to achieve perfect customer management, from the purchase of the vehicle to the after-sales service, always guaranteeing maximum satisfaction.

Giovanni Falcone said: "I feel the pride of representing a brand that, since 1919, has been creating cars, technologies and mobility solutions to respond to the evolution of society, and also the responsibility of a brand that stands out for its audacity and innovation. My mission is to place the Citroën brand among the best players on the Italian market, in collaboration with the Italian dealer network, which has already demonstrated its motivation and professionalism on many occasions. This cooperation and trust will be essential to successfully prepare for the launch of the new Citroën C3, which will be a turning point for real accessibility to 100% electric mobility".

Giovanni Falcone succeeds Marco Antonini, who, after overseeing the brand's growth in Italy over the past five years, particularly in the field of electrification, has been appointed Area Operations Manager for France, Holland and importers in the Northern Europe region.
