The Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross now offer more equipment and connectivity at no extra cost.

As it does almost every month, Citroën is making adjustments to its range in order to align closely with market and customer expectations. November is no exception, with several pleasant surprises in store. These updates will make the C3 and C3 Aircross, particularly the electric versions, more competitive, versatile and user-friendly — and all without any price increase.

The C3 gets enhanced: connectivity and practical improvements

The Citroën C3 is already benefiting from its first upgrades on the production line. Following an initial phase of software reliability testing that resolved most of the initial issues, the C3 now boasts a range of practical everyday features.

These include one-touch power windows, a comfort feature that was previously only available for lowering the windows. Even more importantly for ë-C3 drivers, the average fuel consumption display has finally been added. This data was curiously absent at launch, but it is essential for allowing users to assess their efficiency and optimise their daily driving range.

However, the most significant change is technological. From November, production models will feature Connected 3D Navigation. This major addition comes alongside the launch of the Connect PLUS package's connected services, offering a significantly more comprehensive service that aligns with segment standards.

The Connect PLUS package now includes:

  • Real-time traffic information (for electric vehicles only).

  • Danger zone alerts

  • Points of interest and address search

  • weather forecasts for the route

  • Parking availability;

  • Fuel (or gas station) prices.

The most strategic addition for electric models is undoubtedly the intelligent route planner, ë-Routes. This service is now available and allows you to plan long journeys by automatically integrating necessary stops at public charging stations, thus offering greater peace of mind.

Finally, electric models with automatic climate control benefit from thermal preconditioning. Accessible remotely via a smartphone or the central screen, this feature allows you to heat or cool the cabin and bring the battery to the ideal temperature while the vehicle is charging, thus optimising range and comfort.

Following in the same footsteps, the C3 Aircross is equally competitive

The C3 Aircross is not to be outdone. Models produced in November will, of course, benefit from the same upgrades as the C3.

This urban SUV from the double chevron brand also features Connected 3D Navigation and some of the services included in the Connect PLUS pack. Drivers of the ë-C3 Aircross will also be able to rely on the ë-Routes route planner and the convenience of pre-conditioning (available on selected models). This consistency in equipment reinforces the range logic and simplifies the offering for customers.

However, the most notable aspect of this announcement is Citroën's pricing policy. These new features, including advanced connectivity and comfort equipment, are being introduced without any price increase on either model.

This represents a significant advantage for customers, as it improves the price/performance ratio of their future vehicle. In an economic climate where even the slightest improvement often results in a price increase, Citroën's aggressive pricing strategy deserves to be recognised. It enables the C3 and C3 Aircross, which are already the most competitive offerings in their respective segments for both internal combustion and electric versions, to further distance themselves from the competition.

Enhanced competitiveness without compromising on price!

In short, Citroën is wasting no time in improving its two major launches of the year. These additions to the equipment list mean that the brand is quickly closing the gap with some competitors in terms of connected technology, particularly electric route planning.

However, the most remarkable aspect is the decision to achieve this without passing the cost on to the end customer. This is rare enough in today's automotive industry to be worthy of mention. This strategy enables Citroën to offer C3 and C3 Aircross models that remain affordable yet are now even better equipped and more competitive.
