Success for Citroën in 2024 in Austria: a promising year 2025 in perspective

The Citroën C3 in red

Citroën ends 2024 with a triumph in Austria and starts 2025 with dynamism. Thanks to remarkable commercial results and a strong presence at the Vienna Drive show, the French brand shows that it is determined to win back the hearts of European motorists with a renewed and innovative range.

Citroën had an exceptional December in Austria.

In December 2024, the brand recorded an impressive 114.5% increase in registrations compared to the same month last year. In fact, 459 new vehicles were sold, confirming the appeal of the brand with the two chevrons.

The commercial vehicle segment also played a driving role, recording an increase of 62.5% and reaching a market share of 6.2%. For the year as a whole, Citroën delivered 5,374 vehicles (cars and vans), an increase of 5.4% and a market share of 1.9%. Commercial vehicles played a key role in this performance with 1,876 registrations (+11.5%).

Stephanie Haider, Managing Director of Citroën Austria, is delighted with the results: "With an increase of 114.5% in December, we can report another exceptional monthly result for Citroën. This impressive success underlines the attractiveness of our models. The launch of the Citroën C3 and in particular the ë-C3, the all-electric version, marks an important milestone".

A major presence at the Vienna Drive 2025 show

To mark the start of the year 2025, Citroën will be making its presence felt at Vienna Drive, which will be held in Vienna from 16 to 19 January. The brand is presenting a modernised and ambitious range that embodies innovation and comfort. Two Austrian premieres will attract attention: the new Citroën C4 Hybrid and the Citroën Holidays van.

The Citroën C3, with a range of 324 km according to the WLTP cycle, is also in the spotlight. Equipped with Advanced Comfort® suspension, a revised interior and modern design, it redefines affordable mobility at an accessible price starting from €19,500.

For its part, the Citroën C4 Hybrid combines elegance and versatility. With its SUV elements and sleek design, it offers a comfortable driving experience thanks to its new technologies and reinvented interior. Finally, the Citroën Holidays, with its sunroof, modern equipment and contemporary design, will delight travel enthusiasts.

Stephanie Haider adds: "The entire Citroën range will be renewed by the end of 2025. With the new Citroën C3 Aircross, C4 and C4 X models, we can offer our customers many exciting innovations".

After a successful 2024 in Austria, Citroën intends to maintain this momentum in 2025. With a renewed range adapted to consumer expectations, the brand with the double chevron has a clear objective: to confirm its return to the forefront of the automotive scene. More than ever, Citroën is back.
