September 2022 report - Automotive market FRANCE

Second month of growth for the French automotive market with a well-oriented month of September. Thus, 141,137 units were sold in September, an increase of 5.5% compared to the same period of 2021. The share of electric vehicles increases to 16% of the market, and 24% including plug-in hybrids, the largest market share for this type of vehicle.

In this context, sales of:

  • ALFA ROMEO are 356 units for a market share of 0.3%

  • CITROËN are down 10.1% to 12,521 units for a market share of 8.9%

  • DS are up 1.1% to 1,901 units for a market share of 1.3%

  • FIAT are down 17.5% to 2,786 units for a market share of 2%

  • JEEP are down 59.5% to 341 units for a market share of 0.2%

  • MASERATI are 17 units

  • OPEL are up 6.8% to 3,236 units for a market share of 2.3%

  • PEUGEOT are up 13.4% to 23,534 units for a market share of 16.7%

  • In total, Stellantis sales are 44,692 units, up 1.7% for a market share of 31.7%.
