Following the tests carried out at the beginning of August, Citroën is today, 15th September, opening pre-orders for its new C3 Aircross SUV on the Indian market at a very competitive price for a vehicle of this type and with up to seven seats.

Today, the C3 Aircross begins its commercial career on the Indian market with the opening of pre-orders, before a more official launch during the month of October. For these pre-orders, the brand has chosen to highlight its entry-level version and not a specific high-end version, so it is the cheapest version that Citroën is promoting for the launch. of this C3 Aircross on which many hopes are pinned. And for this, the brand seems to have been extremely careful as the base price communicated for the opening of these pre-orders is particularly well placed.

In fact, Citroën has announced a sales price of 999,000 rupees, or just under 11,250 euros, for this entry-level version, which also reserves a little surprise. After introducing the new trim levels in Europe with the aim of simplifying its range, Citroën is now introducing them in India as the C3 Aircross will be available in three trim levels, You, Plus and Max, identical to those in Europe. For this pre-launch, only the price of the You trim has been revealed, the other trims will be announced in a few weeks. Customers wishing to reserve the C3 Aircross will have to pay a deposit of 25,000 rupees or 290 euros to be included in the first deliveries, which will begin on 15 October.

The new C3 Aircross will be powered by a single 1.2-litre 110 bhp engine, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox for the time being, with an automatic gearbox to follow later. It will also be equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, electrically adjustable mirrors, a rear windscreen wiper with washer and, most importantly, rear parking sensors.

Even though it lacks some of the equipment offered by its competitors (2 airbags as opposed to 6, manual air conditioning as opposed to automatic), the new C3 Aircross is relatively well priced compared to the competition. For example, the Hyundai Creta, one of its main rivals, is available from 1,087,000 Rupees or 12,250 Euros. The first deliveries will take place in October, when the rest of the range will be announced.
