After the new C3, Citroën unveiled its renewed range of MPVs, which led to the expected and unwanted unveiling of photos of the VP version of the Berlingo. A few weeks later, the brand is preparing for the official unveiling of the new Berlingo 2024, the presentation of which is fast approaching.
Even if the leaked photos have made it possible to reveal the new front of the Berlingo, thus lifting the veil of secrecy, the forthcoming presentation will above all allow us to discover the new features that will be present on this restyled version of the brand's successful MPV. The second vehicle to present Citroën's new identity, the restyled Berlingo has a completely new front end, with headlights directly inspired by the new C3, extended by a black radiator grille with the Citroën chevrons and the new brand logo in the centre.
Like the Berlingo Van, the VP version of the Citroën MPV should also improve its comfort with the adoption of Advanced Comfort seats with a revised design and reinforced lateral support as on the recent C3, Citroën seeks to maximise comfort in each of the models of its range. Inside, we can also expect significant developments with a new 10-inch touchscreen and new driver assistance technologies. Finally, the presentation of the redesigned Berlingo will allow us to know if Citroën will continue to offer the Berlingo in a 100% electric version only or if the appearance of the Puretech Hybrid 136 engine is probable, possible or imminent?
The third generation of the Berlingo VP, launched in 2018, was very successful and accounted for a significant share of the brand's sales before Stellantis decided to offer only the electric version, leading to a drop in sales. While the competition has increased recently with the renewal of the VW Caddy, the Ford Tourneo Courrier and even the Renault Kangoo, the upcoming restyling of the Berlingo should provide it with new ammunition to defend itself, including a significantly rejuvenated style with more personality, reinforced technology and optimised comfort, in short, all the arguments that should allow the Berlingo to have a second half of its career that is also crowned with success. The restyling presentation will take place in the coming days and you will be able to discover it in full on Passionnément Citroën with all the information and photos of this eagerly awaited restyled Berlingo.
