New Citroën Basalt: the production version presented on 2 August

The Citroën Basalt vision seen from behind

No holiday for Citroën, as the brand has just announced that it will unveil its first ever SUV coupé on 2 August, simultaneously in India and Latin America, the region where it will be marketed. This third vehicle in the C-Cubed range will complete the brand's offer and bring a number of new features.

Presented as a vision last March, the Citroën Basalt will be officially unveiled at the beginning of August, but no surprises are to be expected in terms of exterior styling, as Citroën had already announced that the production Basalt would correspond in all respects to the vision presented at the end of March. This allows us to take stock of the exterior design of this first SUV, and in particular a front end taken from the C3 Aircross sold outside Europe, even if the latter presents some new features, including the Colour Clips which we find on the European versions and which appear for the first time outside Europe. The same Colour Clips can also be found on the rear profile of the Basalt, a sign of the brand's desire to unify its style throughout the world.

The forthcoming unveiling of the production Basalt will above all allow us to discover the changes inside, as it is certain that this new Citroën will have some modifications compared to the C3 and C3 Aircross sold outside Europe, in particular an improvement in the quality of the materials and the addition of new equipment that will subsequently be available on the rest of the range sold in India and Latin America.

See you in 2 weeks to discover the very first Citroën SUV coupé, which I will show you in full on the site. This third vehicle completes Citroën's offer in India and Latin America with a more dynamic proposition compared to a more voluminous C3 Aircross, an interesting and relevant strategy that allows the brand to reach all audiences with vehicles that meet all needs.
