With the new ë-C3, Citroën has undoubtedly met the expectations of a market in search of accessible electric vehicles. By offering a compact, affordable and powerful electric car, Citroën is enabling a wide audience to take the step towards sustainable mobility. With a range of 320 km and an uncompromisingly attractive price, the ë-C3 continues to impress. It has just been voted Electric Car of the Year in the compact category and came second in the overall ranking by e-Drivers.com.

An impressive track record for an affordable electric car.

Since its launch, the Citroën ë-C3 has won one award after another. In France and Europe, the awards it has received underline the relevance of this electric car. With a range of 320 km according to the WLTP standard and a starting price of €23,300, it marks a turning point in the segment of electric multi-purpose saloons. The ë-C3 also combines a modern design, Citroën's signature comfort with Advanced Comfort suspension and seats, and a fast charge that allows the battery to go from 20 to 80% in 26 minutes, improving visibility and increasing its appeal in a very competitive market.

The public is at the heart of the award.

What sets this award apart is the importance given to the opinions of users. Organised by e-Drivers.com, the Electric Car of the Year award is based entirely on public voting. Marc Verweij, Editor-in-Chief of e-Drivers.com, explains: "The special thing about this election is that the public decides who wins. There are no professional judges or external influences, but the real experiences, preferences and opinions of electric car drivers and enthusiasts are central".

With 9,177 votes out of 23,184 cast for 34 new models, the ë-C3 was the winner in the compact category up to €35,000. It also came out on top in the overall ranking, ahead of much more expensive models. The praise is numerous: "Finally, an electric vehicle for less than €25,000 that is aesthetic and practical", "A game changer for the general public with an excellent quality/price ratio" or even "A real step forward for compact electric vehicles".

Lennart Dijkstra, Sales Director of Citroën Netherlands, is delighted with the award: "As a public award, this is a fantastic recognition for our team and confirms that the ë-C3 perfectly meets the needs of our customers. We are proud that the ë-C3 offers affordable, comfortable and sustainable mobility that is being received with such enthusiasm".

With the electric version of the C3, Citroën has clearly anticipated current needs. The brand with the chevrons has met the expectations of a market that wants access to electric cars at a reasonable price. With the average price of an electric vehicle at €40,000, the ë-C3 offers an affordable alternative without compromising on performance or comfort. This strategic approach, combined with an adapted design and equipment, explains the success of this model and fully justifies the numerous awards it has already won.
