New Citroën C5 Aircross & C3 Aircross EV: strategic launch and electric push in Turkey

2025 Citroën C5 Aircross

While Citroën is on track to achieve a historic year in terms of sales volumes, the brand confirms its dynamism on international markets. Within this positive context, the manufacturer has chosen Turkey to present its latest flagship: the new C5 Aircross. This launch, marked by the significant presence of Xavier Chardon, represents more than just the arrival of a new model; it symbolizes the completion of Citroën’s entire range renewal. This key milestone positions the brand to face the challenges of 2025 with a fully modernized product lineup.

The new C5 Aircross: the brand’s flagship arrives in Turkey

The Turkish market, particularly fond of compact SUVs, welcomes the second generation of the Citroën C5 Aircross. Recently unveiled, this model embodies the brand's expertise in comfort and technology while signaling a significant move upmarket. Staying true to its reputation, Citroën offers a vehicle with a powerful and muscular design, featuring aerodynamic lines crafted to maximize energy efficiency.

Manufactured in France at the Rennes plant, this new C5 Aircross stands out with a cabin redesigned around the C-Zen Lounge concept. The interior architecture has been developed to offer a soothing travel experience, akin to a cocoon. Passengers enjoy generous width in the rear seats and substantial boot volume, meeting the family requirements of the segment. Technology is also at the forefront with the integration of a 13-inch vertical touchscreen and an enlarged head-up display, offering impeccable ergonomics for the driver.

Under the hood, Citroën simplifies the offer while targeting current mobility needs. The vehicle is available with two distinct powertrains: a 145 hp hybrid version and a 210 hp 100% electric version. The latter promises remarkable versatility with an announced average range of 502 km, perfectly meeting customer expectations for long journeys.

Available in two trim levels, Plus and Max, the new C5 Aircross integrates cutting-edge equipment, such as Citroën Matrix LED headlights on the top trim, ensuring safety and visual comfort. Regarding pricing, the launch in Turkey starts at 2,200,000 TL, approximately €44,385 (based on current exchange rates).

Bora Duran, Citroën Brand Director in Turkey, highlighted the importance of this launch: "We are preparing to break a historical record for the Citroën brand in Turkey by the end of 2025, both in terms of total sales and market share. We will close this year with the renewal of all our passenger models. The latest addition to this new range is the new C5 Aircross, launched in December. Our brand now distinguishes itself through its increased commitment to electric vehicles and advanced technologies. The new Citroën C5 Aircross is the most concrete and recent example of this. With its arrival, we will further strengthen our brand's prestige."

Electric offensive continues with the C3 Aircross Long Range

Alongside the launch of its large SUV, Citroën continues to expand its presence in the accessible and versatile electric market. Stellantis is pursuing its global offensive, and following the introduction of related models, it is now time for the Citroën e-C3 Aircross Long Range to enter the Turkish market.

This model complements the existing offer, positioning itself as a more versatile alternative to the version equipped with the smaller 300 km battery. This newcomer features a 54 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery, powering an 83 kW (113 hp) electric motor. Although bearing the "Long Range" designation, the homologation displays an average range of 399 km, a figure that nevertheless allows for more serene extra-urban journeys. The maximum speed is limited to 143 km/h, sufficient for highway travel, while mixed consumption is announced at 16.1 kWh/100 km.

Marketed in the Max trim, the C3 Aircross Electric Long Range is priced at 1,704,000 TL, equivalent to approximately €34,350. With this duo of the electric C3 and C3 Aircross, Citroën is equipping itself to be strongly present and competitive in this strategic market segment, offering a concrete response to the electrification needs of households.

Towards a record-breaking 2026

Citroën clearly displays its ambitions for the Turkish market. Although 2025 was marked by logistical challenges and delayed launches for the new C3 and C3 Aircross, it promises to be an exceptional vintage where the brand's objectives are on track to be met. The strategy of completely renewing the catalog is bearing fruit.

The arrival at the end of this year of the new C5 Aircross, a true technological flagship, coupled with the commercialization of the long-range version of the electric C3 Aircross, lays solid foundations for the future. With a range that is now complete, modern, and electrified, Citroën has all the levers necessary to succeed. The year 2026, which will be the first full year for this entire new range, should allow the brand to break a new sales record and consolidate its position as a major manufacturer in the region.
