Just one month after its global reveal, the all-new Citroën C5 Aircross continues its European rollout with a major debut in Italy. On this occasion, the brand announced initial pricing for its flagship SUV, now available as a fully electric vehicle. The biggest surprise? A highly competitive starting price—under €30,000 for the entry-level hybrid model—making it one of the most affordable options in its class.
A fully renewed line-up in less than two years
With the C5 Aircross, Citroën concludes a full renewal of its range, launched in 2023 with the new C3. In less than two years, the French brand has modernised its entire portfolio—from the quadricycle Ami to the compact C5 X. The new C5 Aircross stands alongside the C5 X as the flagship of this bold new era, combining accessible electrification with family-oriented comfort.
This launch is part of Citroën’s “Social Electric” strategy, pioneered in Italy, which aims to make electric mobility both attainable and practical. The brand's strong performance in the Italian EV market, leading sales in February and April with an 11.8% share, underlines the relevance of this approach.
A competitive price for an electrified SUV
Beyond its refreshed styling and tech upgrades, the C5 Aircross impresses with its pricing. In Italy, the entry-level Hybrid 145 automatic is available for €29,900—around €7,000 less than the equivalent Peugeot 3008 and €5,000 more than a Dacia Bigster, while offering far superior features.
For the first time, the C5 Aircross is also offered as a fully electric SUV in two variants:
210 hp (73 kWh) with a 520 km range;
230 hp (97 kWh) with an exceptional 680 km range.
Designed for comfort, the C5 Aircross features Citroën’s signature Advanced Comfort® suspension, new-generation seats, and a quiet cabin for a smooth and relaxing ride.
Citroën had already made waves with the new C3, launched at a lower price than its predecessor. The new C5 Aircross follows the same logic: offering families a tech-rich, spacious and comfortable C-SUV that remains financially accessible. Against rivals like the Peugeot 3008 and the Dacia Bigster, the C5 Aircross stands out by balancing quality and affordability. It’s a strong proposition for drivers seeking a practical, modern, and future-ready SUV—without breaking the bank.
