The new restyled Citroën Berlingo, presented a few weeks ago, is therefore eligible for social leasing in France, an opportunity for the brand to present prices and open orders. This restyled version of the Berlingo features a completely new front end, new body colours and an emphasis on on-board comfort.
With the Berlingo, Citroën continues to simplify its range to make it easier for customers to understand, and the new Berlingo is no exception, with only two trim levels available to order: Plus and Max, so there is no You version of the Berlingo in France. Similarly, only the Max version can benefit from the Berlingo's XL body, while the short M version is available for both versions. Finally, the 2024 Berlingo will only be available with the 136 hp electric motor combined with a new 50 kWh LFP battery, which gives it a range of 345 kilometres where the Renault Kangoo only offers 285. If it is confirmed that a diesel version will also be offered in Spain, the latter is not yet offered on French soil.
In terms of equipment, the new Berlingo 2024 comes with a wide range of standard features, including traditional driving aids (ABS, ESP, Hill Start Assist), manual air conditioning, automatic ignition, 6 airbags, automatic front windscreen wipers, daytime running lights and projector, electric handbrake, DAB digital radio with 10'' colour touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless mirror screen (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), cruise control - speed limiter and electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors. The new Citroën Berlingo 2024 Plus therefore starts at €36,850 excluding bonus, an increase of just €100 compared to the old version, and it should be noted that the Berlingo also offers fast charging up to 100kW as standard, unlike the Renault Kangoo which also costs around €1,400.
The Max trim level is available from €40,800 for the short version and €1,000 more for the long XL version. The equipment list is much more extensive, with 3 individual seats in row 2, retractable with Isofix mountings, reversing camera with Top Rear Vision, dual-zone climate control, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, sliding left and right side doors or the leather multifunction steering wheel. The latter can also benefit from the optional XTR pack for €300, which includes the following equipment
(17-inch TOPAZ Diamond alloy wheels with 205/55/R17 95V tyres, Advanced Comfort upholstery and foams for the driver, front passenger and second row seats, special exterior trim).
Orders for the new Berlingo 2024 are now being taken, but deliveries will not begin until May next year, as production will start in the spring. The Berlingo gets a nice restyling with a brand new front end and a slightly redesigned interior that emphasises comfort and technology for a price that only moderately increases by €100. All versions of the new Berlingo also benefit from an environmental bonus of €5,000 (which may be reduced to €4,000 following a forthcoming government decree), which means that the restyled Berlingo starts at €31,850 excluding the bonus.
