Lyon Motor Show 2025: The new C5 Aircross stars on an ambitious Citroën stand

2025 Citroën C5 Aircross

The French automotive world will soon have its eyes fixed on Lyon. From Tuesday, September 24th to Sunday, September 28th, 2025, the Lyon Motor Show will open its doors for an edition that is already shaping up to be a major event of the season. Over the years, this show has grown in importance, attracting ever-larger crowds and manufacturers keen to make a lasting impression. This year, Citroën fully intends to leverage this exceptional platform. The brand has chosen Lyon to host the very first public European presentation of its renewed flagship model: the New Citroën C5 Aircross. This decision highlights both the brand's ambition and the strategic role this motor show now plays in its calendar.

The new C5 Aircross, star of a french-themed stand

For this 2025 edition, Citroën is not holding back. The brand will occupy a generous 300 m² stand, a significant increase from the 200 m² it had in 2023. This larger space, proudly decorated in blue, white, and red, is designed to welcome visitors into a friendly and immersive atmosphere. While the stand will showcase the entire electrified range—including the ë-C3, ë-C3 Aircross, ë-C4, ë-C4 X, ë-Berlingo, and the charming Ami Buggy—all eyes will undoubtedly be on the most anticipated new arrival. The New C5 Aircross will be the undisputed star, presented to the European public for the very first time. To celebrate the occasion and pay tribute to the host city, Citroën has planned a special surprise: an exclusive version of the SUV featuring a unique livery created by the Citroën Design office. This graphic wrap is directly inspired by Lyon's architectural and cultural symbols, creating a bridge between the brand's identity and that of the city, while proudly promoting its "Made in Rennes" label.

A motor show to strengthen customer "RËconnexion"

Beyond a simple product launch, Citroën's presence at the Lyon Motor Show is part of a deeper strategy of "RËconnexion." The brand aims to use this event to forge strong, direct links with its customers and the general public. It presents a prime opportunity to demonstrate, explain, and offer test drives. No fewer than fifteen models will be available for public testing, allowing everyone to experience the unique comfort and driving pleasure that are hallmarks of Citroën. To support this customer-focused initiative, the brand has launched particularly attractive commercial offers, valid until the end of September. These leasing deals, with no down payment and including four years of maintenance and assistance, are designed to make the new range accessible to a wider audience. This philosophy is perfectly captured in the words of Édouard George, Director of Citroën France: "The new C5 Aircross is more than a launch: it is a symbol of Citroën's renewal. We are proud to unveil it to the general public for its European premiere at the Lyon Motor Show, in a special version with an exclusive wrap that pays homage to this inspiring city and to its 'Made in Rennes' origin. With a stand in our national colors of blue, white, and red, and a strong connection with the public, we are confirming our commitment to offering accessible, innovative, and comfortable electrified vehicles."

In conclusion, Citroën's presence at the 2025 Lyon Motor Show will not be a low-key affair; on the contrary, it will demonstrate an assertive stance and renewed confidence. With a completely refreshed range, led by a New C5 Aircross with clear ambitions, the brand is more determined than ever to reconnect with its customers and reaffirm its position in the market. The show will also be marked by a press conference on Tuesday, September 24th, which will feature the first major public address by Xavier Chardon as CEO of Citroën. This may be the opportunity to learn more about the future directives and the vision he intends to implement to lead the brand toward new successes. It is an event that we will, of course, be following with the utmost attention.
