The growth trend in the automobile market is being confirmed a little more each month as the Italian automobile market publishes positive results for the month of January. In January, 128,301 cars were registered in Italy, an increase of 19% compared to January 2022. However, this result is more the result of a disastrous start to 2022 than a real improvement.
In this context, sales of the
ALFA ROMEO, up 155.95% to 1,784 units for a market share of 1.39
CITROËN up 34.54% to 4,655 units for a market share of 3.63
DS up 50.65% to 577 units for a market share of 0.45%.
FIAT were up 11.83% to 17,929 units for a market share of 13.97%.
JEEP was up 45.57% to 6,571 units, giving it a market share of 5.12%.
LANCIA were up 9.61% to 3,582 units for a market share of 0.79%.
MASERATI are 321 units
OPEL fell 11.80% to 3,183 units, giving a market share of 2.48%.
PEUGEOT are down 21.71% to 5,199 units for a market share of 4.05%.
Overall, Stellantis' sales rose by 13.15% to 43,801 units, giving it a market share of 34.14%. The group is still well ahead of the Volkswagen group, which increased its sales by 41.40%, giving it a market share of 15.48%. For its part, Citroën's sales rose sharply, with a performance above that of the group and the market, allowing it to increase its market share, with all its models performing well.
The C3 is the best-selling brand, but with 2,197 units, it is 15th in terms of sales, but fifth in its segment and third in terms of petrol engines, which account for almost 66% of sales. The C3 Aircross is the second best-selling brand and is performing well, ranking 19th in sales with 1,703 units and 9th in its segment ahead of the Peugeot 2008. The C4 sold 248 units (+44.18%), 37 of which were electric, placing it 8th in its segment and second in France behind the Peugeot 308 (370 units). Finally, the C5 X sold 75 units, putting it in 4th place in its segment, close to first place held by the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé (96 units).
