Exclusive: Citroën ë-series - interior photos

The Citroën ë-series special edition offered on the sC4, C4 X and C5 Aircross

A few weeks ago, we introduced you to the new special series of electrified vehicles in the Citroën range, which will be offered in Europe and can currently only be ordered in the UK. The photos available did not allow us to appreciate the interiors of this high-end range, but today we can, thanks to the exclusive photos.

The ë-series special series is intended for Citroën's electrified vehicles, namely the electric C4 and C4 X as well as the C5 Aircross hybrid 136 and plug-in hybrid but, surprisingly, not the C5 X which will have a specification specific to her in a while.

This new top-of-the-range series is equipped with a two-tone roof on the outside, including for the C4 X, as well as a black pack comprising mainly the rims painted in black across the entire range. But it is inside that this special series is the most promising since it brings to the C4, C4 X and C5 Aircross range a new light gray atmosphere which brings warmth and brightness to the interiors of these models to which, some have criticized their rather dark atmospheres a lot.

The interior of the Citroën C4 ë-series with light grey Alcantara seats

Thanks to these exclusive photos, we can also discover for the first time the interior design of this high-end special series and really appreciate the warm atmosphere created by the light grey hue, which extends from the seats to the dashboard. doors, since the trim of the inner doors, located above the armrest, echoes the light grey hue, visually enlarging the interior and creating a greater sense of space. The seats are upholstered in grey Alcantara, with a ribbon in a different material at the top of the backrest, and an ë badge on the side.

On the C5 Aircross, the ë-series special edition also adopts a high-end light grey interior, with upholstery that includes the seats, central armrests and door armrests. The C5 Aircross ë-series also gets Alcantara seats, but this time made from recycled fibres (68% of the outer fibres are recycled) and called Alcantara R-Evolution.

This new light grey colour makes a real difference in terms of the brightness of the interior, which it also makes warmer, more refined and tidier, particularly with the herringbone stitching on the top of the seat backs.
