Citroën: new director for Spain and Portugal

Nuno Coutinho new boss of Citroën in Spain and Portugal

The waltz of appointments continues for Citroën as, a few days after Belgium and Luxembourg, it is now the turn of the brand's director in Spain and Portugal. The latter is not leaving Stellantis, but is undergoing internal developments that have led the group to appoint Nuno Coutinho as the new Citroën director for these two countries.

On 13 September, Nuno MARQUES, former Director of the brand in Spain and Portugal, was appointed Director of Commercial Vehicles Business Development for North and South America. This is an important promotion that underlines the excellent work he has done with Citroën in these two countries, enabling the brand to achieve better results than elsewhere in Europe.

From now on, this door will be occupied by Nuno Coutinho, who has been Global Sales and Prices Manager at DS Automobiles since 2018, and who therefore takes over the management of Citroën for Spain and Portugal. He will report to Maurizio Zuares, Country Manager of Stellantis Iberia.

Nuno Coutinho is 48 years old and holds a degree in Administration from IESF, with postgraduate degrees in Financial Administration from ISG and Performance Management and Control from ISCTE. He joined Peugeot Portugal in 2006 and has since held various positions at Stellantis in France and Brazil, particularly within the Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles brands.

The appointment of Nuno Coutinho as Director for Spain and Portugal marks a new change for Citroën in Europe. He will find a brand that is performing better than elsewhere in Europe, hoping to continue the work started by his predecessor and take Citroën even higher.
