While the Citroën C3 celebrated its ninth month on the Brazilian market, ranking in the top 5 in its segment since the start of its career, it has just completed the month of June and the first half of the year with an excellent performance that allowed it to increase its sales.
With 2,930 units sold, the Citroën C3 increased its sales by 82% compared to May and ranked fifth in its segment ahead of the Peugeot 208 and the Toyota Yaris. For the year as a whole, Citroën C3 sales reached 11,338 units, placing it in the top 5 in its segment with a market share of 5.86%, just behind the Peugeot 208 (11,546 units).
In total, more than 22,000 units of the Citroën C3 have thus been sold in Brazil since its launch in September 2002, making it the best-selling Citroën to the detriment of the C4 Cactus, which has collapsed in anticipation of its restyling, the presentation of which, announced on 5 July, will finally take place in a few days' time.
Sales of the C3 will allow Citroën to grow on the Brazilian market and gain a foothold in the multi-purpose saloon market. The brand will soon offer the new C3 Aircross, which will be unveiled in April 2023 and launched in the second half of the year. All that remains is for the C3 to maintain its good results in the long term, and the latest incentives from the Brazilian government, which have made it possible to drastically reduce the price of new cars, including the C3, should help to maintain this momentum, especially as the brand also intends to develop the range of its small sedan on the Brazilian market, which I will tell you about shortly.
