A strong momentum for Citroën in the austrian market
The past automotive year has marked a significant milestone for Citroën in Austria. Following highly encouraging commercial results, the French brand has no intention of slowing down and aims to capitalize on this success in 2026. To maintain this upward trajectory, the manufacturer is deploying an aggressive commercial strategy centered on its two B-segment pillars: the new C3 and the C3 Aircross. The objective is clear: to democratize access to modern technology and, most importantly, to make the transition to electric vehicles a tangible reality for as many people as possible.
By announcing lower entry prices for its flagship models, Citroën reaffirms its identity as a brand for the people. This new offensive is more than just a series of temporary discounts; it structures a range where the choice between a combustion engine and electric propulsion is no longer dictated by an insurmountable financial barrier. In Austria, this commitment translates into the arrival of even more accessible versions, positioning the brand as a leader in sustainable and affordable mobility in the heart of Europe.
Citroën: a pioneer in electric mobility amidst rising competition
Historically, Citroën's mission has always been to provide practical and comfortable transportation solutions. Today, this mission is evolving to meet environmental and economic challenges. The ë-C3 and ë-C3 Aircross models have already established themselves as benchmarks for value in the electric vehicle market. By offering zero-emission vehicles at competitive prices, the brand took an early lead, becoming a pioneer in affordable electro-mobility for budget-conscious consumers.
However, the global automotive landscape is changing rapidly. The European market, including Austria, faces increasing complexity characterized by persistent inflation and the arrival of new global players, particularly from China. Aware of this heightened competition that focuses on very low entry prices, the French brand has chosen to respond starting this March 2026. To maintain its competitive edge, it is launching exceptional offers in Austria, allowing access to the C3 range starting at just €13,490. This financial effort highlights the manufacturer's responsiveness to current geopolitical and economic challenges, providing consumers with a solid and reliable European alternative.
Unprecedented pricing offers for the C3 and C3 Aircross ranges
This spring’s commercial offensive focuses on the "YOU" trim levels, designed to provide the essentials of Citroën technology and comfort at an optimized price. The new prices available in Austria cover all mobility needs, whether one prefers internal combustion or electric power.
The entry-level prices are now as follows:
Citroën C3 ICE YOU (Petrol): available from €13,490 incl. VAT.
Citroën ë-C3 BEV YOU (Electric): accessible from €16,990 incl. VAT.
Citroën C3 Aircross ICE YOU (Petrol): offered from €16,490 incl. VAT.
Citroën ë-C3 Aircross BEV YOU (Electric): starting at €19,990 incl. VAT.
These prices are paired with carefully designed financing conditions through Stellantis Bank. For example, the petrol C3 is available for a monthly lease of only €79, following an initial down payment of €2,698. For the electric ë-C3, the monthly payment remains at €79, making the switch to electric power easier without increasing the monthly financial burden on households. These offers, valid for contracts signed until March 31, 2026, include financing and insurance bonuses of up to €2,000, making the purchase of a new vehicle extremely attractive.
European quality and long-term peace of mind
Beyond the pricing argument, Citroën is focusing on reassurance and local manufacturing. Unlike some competitors, the production of these models remains rooted in Europe. The vehicles are manufactured at the Trnava plant in Slovakia, located less than an hour from Vienna. This strategic choice not only ensures short delivery times for Austrian customers but also guarantees a build quality that meets the most demanding European standards.
To top off this offer, the brand is introducing the "WE CARE" warranty. This program provides up to 8 years of protection (or 160,000 km), covering essential components such as the engine and transmission. Available for all registrations since the beginning of 2025, this warranty demonstrates Citroën's confidence in the reliability of its products. Users also benefit from the brand's signature comfort, featuring Citroën Advanced Comfort® suspensions and, on the C3 Aircross, the unique versatility of a compact SUV that can accommodate up to 7 passengers.
A lasting commitment for an accessible brand
In an uncertain international context, where fuel prices remain volatile and competitive pressure is constant, Citroën proves that it is possible to combine industrial ambition with social accessibility. By refusing to rest on its laurels despite a successful year, the manufacturer demonstrates great agility. These new offers in Austria are not just figures in a catalog; they represent the commitment of a brand that understands the daily realities of drivers. By maintaining this effort on pricing while ensuring European production and an extended warranty, Citroën is positioning itself to extend its current success and remain the go-to brand for peaceful and affordable mobility.
