Citroën records 66% increase in sales in Austria in November

The Citroën C4 X 2025

After a period of difficulty, particularly in France, Citroën is showing signs of recovery in some European markets. In November, the brand recorded an impressive 66% increase in sales in Austria compared to the same period last year. This success reinforces the optimism surrounding the launch of new models such as the Citroën C3 and the next Citroën C4, C4 X and C3 Aircross in 2025.

Strong sales growth on the Austrian market

Citroën had an exceptional November in Austria with 447 new registrations, an increase of 66.2% compared to November 20-23. This performance brings the brand's overall market share to 2.1%, up from 1.3%. This increase is even more pronounced in the light commercial vehicle segment, where Citroën recorded an increase of 97.6% to reach a market share of 6.5%.

Since the beginning of the year, the brand has sold 4,915 new vehicles in Austria, consolidating its position in this market. Stephanie Haider, Managing Director of Citroën Austria, welcomed these results: "The November result is an important milestone for our brand. With a total market share of 2.1%, we are setting a good example. The environment is difficult, but the new products will help us soon". These results confirm that Citroën is able to establish itself in markets that are traditionally more difficult for it, while remaining faithful to its values: offering accessible, comfortable and innovative vehicles.

2025: New models to keep the momentum going

Citroën is relying on the launch of new models to continue this momentum in Austria and other European markets. The new Citroën C3, a finalist for the prestigious Car of the Year 2025 title, plays a central role in this strategy. Available in Austrian dealerships, it embodies Citroën's vision of comfortable and affordable mobility for all.

"The new Citroën C3 is an important milestone for the brand, but also for our dealers. We are also expecting the new Citroën C4 and C4 X models in the spring to offer our customers many new models in 2025," added Stephanie Haider.

These launches will be accompanied by the renewal of the commercial vehicle range, a sector in which Citroën made solid progress in November. The brand also hopes to sign a large number of contracts in December, which could allow it to end the year on an even more positive note.

Although volumes in Austria remain modest, these results reflect an interesting development for Citroën. Historically, the brand has been stronger in southern European countries, but its recent performances in Austria and Germany indicate a promising rebalancing of the European market.

This success in Austria shows that Citroën can appeal to new audiences with an adapted range and competitive products, while consolidating its position in key segments such as commercial vehicles. With the models to be launched in 2025, the brand seems well positioned to continue this positive momentum across Europe.
