Citroën launches the Collection special edition: all the details

Citroën Collection series 2026

Citroën Collection 2026: a premium and accessible range-wide upgrade

In early 2026, Citroën is reinforcing its market presence with a bold and consistent product strategy. The French manufacturer has unveiled its first special series of the year, named "Collection". This is not a standalone initiative but a cross-range offensive targeting the core pillars of the brand: the C3 city car, the C3 Aircross compact SUV, and the C4 hatchback. Originally introduced on the C4 last September, the Collection name makes a strong comeback, now extending across the entire heart of the range. This expansion is more than a styling exercise; it introduces several technological and aesthetic firsts, enhancing the appeal of these recently refreshed models.

A strong exterior design: black elegance and "Infra Red" accents

The first glance at this 2026 Collection series reveals a powerful visual identity, designed to give the vehicles a more prestigious and dynamic appearance. The common thread of this edition is the systematic use of black-painted alloy wheels, providing a touch of discreet yet effective sportiness. Specifically, the C3 features 17’’ Atacamite wheels, the C3 Aircross is equipped with 17’’ Aragonite wheels, while the C4 stands out with 18’’ Amber wheels. To complete the look, Citroën has included tinted rear windows on all three models, a feature that enhances the silhouette while improving thermal comfort for passengers.

The uniqueness of the Collection series also lies in the Infra Red Color Clips. This shade is a direct nod to the famous "Rouge André," a color deeply rooted in Citroën's heritage. These colored inserts are placed on the front bumpers and rear quarter panels for the C3 and C3 Aircross, while they are positioned at the rear of the side protectors on the C4.

The Citroën C3 Aircross Collection 2026

One of the major highlights of this special series is the personalization policy. For the first time, Citroën is including the cost of the paint in the retail price: choosing a body color comes at no extra cost. The palette is rich and tailored to each model. C3 and C3 Aircross customers can choose from Mercury Grey, Bright Blue, Banquise White, Perla Nera Black, or Elixir Red (exclusive to the C3). Notably, Bright Blue makes its debut in the C3 Aircross catalog. For the C4, the choice includes Perla Nera Black, Mercury Grey, Eclipse Blue, or Okenite White.

Within this trio, the C3 Aircross Collection receives special treatment to emphasize its status as a distinctive SUV. It is the only model to feature an exclusive "AIRCROSS" sticker on the lower front doors. Even more striking, versions with a bi-tone roof feature a specific shutter-style decor on the rear pillar, creating a gradient visual effect that clearly differentiates it from the C3 hatchback.

The Urban Blue interior: where comfort meets brand new tech

Inside, the Collection series transforms the cabin atmosphere by introducing the Urban Blue ambiance. This new color signature brightens the interior, providing a sense of serenity and modernity. The blue is carefully applied to the seat cushions and backrests, as well as the dashboard, armrests, and various trim elements. For the C4, this move upmarket is even more evident as the dashboard adopts a specific grain featuring the chevron pattern, a finish inherited from the top-tier Max trim.

The finishing details make the difference: the usual colored inserts in the C3 and C3 Aircross are replaced by the Collection logo, asserting the series' exclusivity. Comfort is further enhanced by specific floor mats with Infra Red stitching. Each model has its own branding, with the model name for the C3 and C3 Aircross, and a woven "Collection" logo for the C4 sedan. Naturally, the famous Advanced Comfort seats and progressive hydraulic cushion suspensions are included, ensuring the "flying carpet" ride quality the brand is known for.

However, the real interior revolution concerns the technological equipment of the C3 Aircross. This Collection series marks the debut of the Keyless Entry and Start (ADML) system on this model. Offered as standard on the hybrid and electric versions of the Collection, this feature significantly simplifies daily use by allowing the driver to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle without ever taking the key out of their pocket. This specific focus places the C3 Aircross at the heart of the brand's premium strategy.

Optimized price-to-equipment ratio: the smart choice

The Collection special series is based on the Plus trim level, which represents the core of the market. Citroën's goal is to offer an "all-in-one" version that is extremely well-equipped while maintaining a significant financial advantage for the buyer. In addition to the styling elements mentioned above, the C3 Collection adds a rear-view camera and electric rear windows. The C4 Collection goes even further by integrating 10-inch TomTom connected 3D navigation, a 7-inch digital cluster, and the Top Rear Vision system.

This range structure allows every customer to find the power source that fits their needs (Internal Combustion, Hybrid, or 100% Electric) without sacrificing style or comfort.

Conclusion: range animation focused on customer value

With the launch of this cross-range special series, Citroën demonstrates its ability to intelligently animate its lineup shortly after its complete renewal. The brand is not just adding a few stickers; it is offering a genuine upgrade in perceived customer value. By combining an attractive design, highly anticipated tech features like the Keyless system on the C3 Aircross, and an aggressive pricing policy including free paint, Citroën is making refinement accessible. The 2026 "Collection" stands out as a coherent proposition, reinforcing the image of a brand that is close to its users and capable of offering more comfort and style within a perfectly managed budget.
