Citroën launches its new Utility range in Turkey

Selen Alkim with the new Citroën Berlingo

Citroën ended the year on a high note in Turkey, setting a sales record with more than 63,000 units sold. The brand is particularly strong in the light commercial vehicle segment, where it achieved a market share of 6.7% with more than 17,000 light commercial vehicles sold, moving up to 5th place in the market. This exceptional performance demonstrates the growing popularity of Citroën in Turkey, a strategic market for the brand which aims to make it its 5th market worldwide by 2025.

Selen Alkım, General Manager of Citroën Turkey, underlined the importance of this segment for the brand: "The commercial vehicle segment is crucial for us. We have consolidated our position in 2023, and we aim to further strengthen our presence in 2024 with our new models. "

To achieve this, Citroën is launching in Turkey its new, completely renewed range of light commercial vehicles, which will play a central role in this success. This range includes the Berlingo Combi, Berlingo Van, Spacetourer and Jumper. All of these models feature the new Citroën logo for the first time and have a modernised exterior and interior design, incorporating advanced technological and safety features while maximising comfort, a theme dear to the brand. Selen Alkım said: "The high level of comfort offered by our new range is what sets Citroën apart from its competitors. Our customers choose Citroën because of this superior level of comfort, a key element of our brand identity. "

The flagship Berlingo features a new design and smart equipment. Available in a range of trim levels, it offers a choice of 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic gearboxes. The Berlingo Van, on the other hand, is equipped with a 1.5-litre BlueHDi engine with outputs of 100 and 130 hp, and also offers an automatic transmission option. The Spacetourer, now available in a single package with a powerful diesel engine and automatic transmission, is designed to meet the needs of users with active lifestyles or transfer companies. The Jumpy, a mid-size model, features new eco-friendly headlights and car-like equipment. Finally, the Jumper, the flagship of the light commercial range, stands out for its impressive load capacity and innovative safety and connectivity features.

Citroën's ambitions in Turkey for 2024

In 2024, Citroën plans to consolidate and increase its presence on the Turkish light commercial vehicle market. With a renewed product range and record sales in 2023, the brand is well positioned to achieve its ambitious goals. Citroën aims to increase its market share by capitalising on the success of its new models and meeting customer expectations with vehicles that offer superior comfort and cutting-edge technologies. Selen Alkım emphasised: "We have the ambition to continue to grow and distinguish ourselves through the comfort and innovation we offer. Our goal is to achieve even higher sales volumes and consolidate our leading position in the light commercial vehicle market in Turkey. "

Not content to rest on its laurels, Citroën is looking resolutely to the future and has ambitious plans for the Turkish market. The brand is committed to offering ever more innovative and comfortable vehicles to meet the diverse needs of its customers, from individuals to professionals. With these clear objectives and a well-defined strategy, Citroën is ready to write a new chapter in its history in Turkey, continuing to seduce consumers with vehicles that combine comfort, technology and performance.
