Citroën Jumpy: the facelift arrives in Latin America

The Citroën Jumpy in its South American version

Citroën continues to strengthen its presence on the South American market with the launch of the new Jumpy at the 13th Expo Transporte in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After renewing its range of commercial vehicles in Europe at the beginning of 2024, the brand with the chevrons is now applying this strategy to the South American market, where it is the undisputed leader.

The Stellantis Group, which holds a 34% share of the Argentinean commercial vehicle market, is therefore launching updated versions of the Peugeot Expert and Citroën Jumpy in Argentina to attract more customers. After its launch in Europe at the end of 2023, the Citroën Jumpy will therefore be updated in Argentina with the same modifications as in Europe, with the exception of the headlights, which will remain those of the previous generation. This update is part of a wider dynamic aimed at offering solutions that are increasingly adapted to the specific needs of local companies, with a focus on the versatility and ergonomics of the vehicles.

Pablo García Leyenda, Sales Manager of Stellantis Argentina, said: "The Peugeot and Citroën brands launched an intense and aggressive offensive in the commercial vehicle sector some time ago. A business unit within the company that represents a strategic development axis in the region. New models, more versions, more technology, more payload and endless options, including conversions that take into account the needs of each customer. New opportunities for interested parties to find a solution to any of their company's requirements. Today's renewal of Jumpy and Expert undoubtedly reinforces this idea. "These words illustrate Citroën's desire to constantly adapt to the needs of the South American market by offering vehicles capable of meeting the daily challenges of professionals.

A modernised Jumpy, but true to its roots

Although the new Citroën Jumpy presented in Argentina retains the old headlights, unlike the European version which benefits from the brand's new lighting signature, it is nevertheless a vehicle redesigned to meet the needs of South American professionals. The Jumpy adopts a new visual identity with a more assertive design at the front and rear, while integrating modernised comfort and safety equipment. Inside, ergonomics have been optimised with a new multifunction steering wheel, a digital dashboard with a 5-inch touch screen and storage compartments cleverly designed for professional use. The vehicle offers a useful load volume of 6.1 m³ and a load capacity of up to 1,450 kg, with practical solutions such as a floor equipped with eight anchor rings to secure the load.

Under the bonnet, the Jumpy remains faithful to its 120 hp diesel engine, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, which incorporates the Stop & Start function for improved energy efficiency. Safety has been significantly improved, with systems such as ABS, ESP, emergency brake assist and hill-start assist ensuring a calm and safe driving experience. Citroën has also integrated technologies designed to make life easier for the user, such as rear parking sensors, electric mirrors and windows and selective central locking. This redesign confirms the brand's commitment to remaining at the forefront of innovation while adapting to the specific needs of professionals in the South American market.
