For several years now, Citroën has been achieving impressive results on the Greek automotive market. In 2024, this momentum will be reinforced by an exceptional commercial performance. As the French brand continues to expand internationally, Greece stands out as one of its most promising markets. Citroën's market share there reached 5.4%, making the country the brand's second European market in terms of market share, after France.
Citroën is one of the leaders on the Greek automotive market.
In 2024, the company registered 7,951 passenger and commercial vehicles in the country, consolidating its leading position among the brand's car importers in Europe. This performance demonstrates the brand's dynamism and its ability to attract new customers in an increasingly competitive market. With a strategy focused on vehicles with distinctive design, accessible technology and recognised comfort, Citroën confirms its attractiveness on the Greek market.
The Citroën C3 is a benchmark despite its ongoing renewal.
In spite of a transitional period with the arrival of the new generation, it managed to hold its own in 2024. With 4,904 registrations, it took second place in its category, with a market share of 14.5%. This performance is all the more remarkable given that the model was only on sale in the first half of the year due to production delays associated with its renewal.
In addition to passenger cars, Citroën also excelled in the commercial vehicle segment in Greece. With 308 registrations and a market share of 63.9%, the C3 van established itself as the leader in its segment. The Citroën Jumpy finished the year in third place in its category with a market share of 14.2%.
The year 2025 looks promising with a renewed range.
After an exceptional 2024, Citroën is approaching 2025 with great ambitions. The year will be marked by the biggest range renewal in the brand's history. In addition to the new C3/e-C3 already launched, Citroën will successively launch the new C4/C4X, the C3 Aircross and, at the end of the year, the new C5 Aircross. With a diverse range of thermal, hybrid and 100% electric engines, the brand aims to meet the expectations of a market in the midst of an energy transition.
The Greek market, where Citroën has a strong presence thanks to an efficient dealer network and a relevant commercial strategy, should continue to play a key role in this dynamic. With a clear strategy and a renewed range, 2025 promises to be another successful year for Citroën in Greece.
