Just a few weeks after the renowned Düsseldorf Caravan Salon, the leisure vehicle scene is heating up right here in France. Another major event is quickly approaching: the Leisure Vehicle Show, set to take place from September 27 to October 5, 2025, at the Le Bourget Exhibition Center. This French event is the perfect opportunity for the general public to dive into the world of "vanlife" and, most importantly, to test drive the highly anticipated Citroën Holidays.
The leisure vehicle show, France's essential "vanlife" event
The Leisure Vehicle Show is not a minor event. For its 59th edition, it establishes itself as one of the essential European shows for all enthusiasts of motorhomes, converted vans, and, of course, camper vans. It will open its doors to the public from September 27 to October 5, 2025, at the Le Bourget Exhibition Center, near Paris, following a press-only half-day on the afternoon of Friday, September 26. This major event promises to attract a large audience already won over by the freedom of nomadic travel.
The Stellantis Pro One group, the division dedicated to commercial vehicles and, therefore, to professional converters, will mark its presence with a substantial and unique space of 196 m², located in Hall 2B, Stand B10. This strategic positioning demonstrates the group's commitment to this rapidly expanding market. On this stand, one of the showcased star models will be, unsurprisingly, the FIAT Ducato Chassis Cab. This vehicle is an industry mainstay, recognized as a European benchmark for motorhomes thanks to its robustness, modularity, and reliability. The Ducato, in fact, was voted "Base Vehicle of the Year" by Promobil for the 17th consecutive time, a testament to its quality that makes it the preferred choice for countless leisure vehicle manufacturers since its launch in 1981.
The experience will not stop at mere exhibition. A test drive park featuring 16 vehicles will be made available to visitors. This area will allow for real-world testing of the performance and versatility of different engines and various body types: van, low-profile, and A-Class, including a Heavy Goods Vehicle version. The objective is clear: to enable everyone to discover mobility solutions tailored for family leisure while presenting the innovative services that the brands are developing to optimize the after-sales experience.
The Citroën Holidays in major public test drive: accessible « vanlife »
Amidst this impressive selection of test vehicles, one model, in particular, catches our eye: the Citroën Holidays. This unique camper van, directly offered by Stellantis and available for order throughout the entire Citroën network, perfectly embodies the spirit of "vanlife." It is a proposition that combines attractive design with essential, practical amenities for getting away from it all.
The Citroën Holidays will be available for test drives throughout the show, offering a tangible opportunity to discover its qualities. It is a genuine concentration of nomadic ingenuity, featuring equipment designed for comfort and autonomy. I am thinking, in particular, of its pop-up roof, essential for standing up and providing an extra sleeping area, its convertible bench seat for quickly transforming the living space into a resting area, and its kitchenette and folding table for meals and social moments. All these characteristics make the Holidays an accessible, easy-to-use van, and above all, an ideal companion for adventure.
It is excellent news to see this model highlighted for a public hands-on experience. Real-world testing is always the best way to grasp a vehicle's full potential. For those who want to know more before heading to Le Bourget, I invite you to re-watch the complete video review we dedicated to it below.
I had strongly regretted the absence of the Citroën Holidays at the recent Düsseldorf Caravan Salon, an international gathering that could have offered it excellent early visibility. This omission is now very appropriately corrected with this significant presence at the French Leisure Vehicle Show. By offering the Holidays for test drives, Stellantis demonstrates a commercial logic that makes perfect sense. The French market is keen on this type of compact and versatile vehicle, and Le Bourget is the ideal place to showcase it.
This event will allow the many expected visitors to physically board, drive, and evaluate the qualities of the Citroën Holidays. It is a direct and honest approach that reinforces our belief that this van has everything it needs to appeal to both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers to the world of "vanlife." So, mark your calendars for this total immersion into the world of leisure vehicles starting at the end of September, with the Holidays topping the list of models not to be missed!
