With the launch of the new ë-C3, Citroën confirms its commitment to accessible electric mobility by offering a vehicle with a modern design, competitive autonomy and exceptional comfort. Recently, the ë-C3 was subjected to the rigorous élan test, revealing surprising performances that testify to the quality of its road holding.
The Moose Test: An essential assessment
As with every new car, the Citroën ë-C3 was subjected to the famous moose test by the experts at KM77. This test also assesses a vehicle's ability to avoid a sudden obstacle by performing a sudden manoeuvre at moderate speed, simulating the avoidance of an animal appearing on the road. It allows the vehicle's dynamic behaviour to be analysed, in particular its stability and responsiveness during rapid changes of direction. For the ë-C3, this test is an opportunity to demonstrate that, despite its focus on comfort, it also offers improved driving dynamics compared to the previous generation.
Conclusive results of the tests
In the video published by KM77, the Citroën ë-C3 was subjected to a series of tests, including the slalom and the evasion test. During the slalom test, the ë-C3 demonstrated its precision by slipping between the cones, faithfully following the direction given by the front wheels. Although body roll was noticeable, the overall behaviour was more than satisfactory. The driver felt well in control of the car, an impression confirmed by outside observers.
In the avoidance test, the ë-C3 showed remarkable stability. From the first test, the car remained easy and intuitive to drive, despite a noticeable roll. The best passage was made at 81 km/h, a high speed for a city car. Reactions were smooth and progressive and the steering allowed the car to be steered with precision. The stability control intervened subtly without hindering or braking the car excessively. Even at 84 km/h only one cone was hit, demonstrating the car's good performance at high speeds. At 85 km/h the result was less good due to more wheel slip.
With the new ë-C3, Citroën has opted for a design reminiscent of an SUV, offering generous ground clearance and maximum comfort. However, the brand has also taken care to improve the car's driving dynamics in order to meet customers' expectations in terms of road handling. The positive results obtained in the élan test illustrate Citroën's expertise in offering a raised car with unparalleled comfort in its category, while at the same time guaranteeing perfect road-holding. In addition, the ë-C3 has one of the most competitive prices on the market, making electric vehicles accessible to a wide audience. Who can beat that?
In short, the Citroën ë-C3 combines comfort, dynamism and accessibility, confirming the brand's desire to offer vehicles adapted to contemporary needs while remaining faithful to its core values.
