Citroën C4: the saloon gains character with the special Collection 2025 range

The Citroën C4 Collection 2025

Just weeks after the successful launch of its restyled version in January 2025, the Citroën C4 continues to make headlines. The compact sedan bearing the Double Chevron logo is enhancing its range with the introduction of a new special series: the C4 Collection 2025. This edition stands out with its particularly refined styling and a remarkably generous level of equipment, designed to offer a driving experience that is both distinctive and relaxing.

C for character: a distinctive and contrasting style

The C4 Collection 2025 special series focuses on a contrasting exterior look and meticulous details to assert its personality. Style is an essential component of this edition, designed for customers seeking a vehicle that is both elegant and dynamic.

The first visible changes concern the wheels, with the standard adoption of 18’’ Amber Black Alloy Wheels. Their geometric design not only adds a touch of dynamism but also incorporates matte black aerodynamic inserts, serving both efficiency and aesthetics.

To reinforce the coupé-like character of the C4's silhouette, the Collection version comes standard with a Perla Nera Black bi-tone roof combined with darkened rear windows. This choice creates colour unity and visual continuity from the wheel arches to the glossy black strip connecting the LED rear lights, accentuating the perception of a low, sleek profile.

Attention to detail extends to the specific "Rouge André" Color-clips. These subtle touches of colour enliven the front bumper grille as well as the rear of the side protectors, adding a dynamic and original note. A "Collection" badge, combining Black and Rouge André, also signs this edition on the tailgate, symmetrical with the C4 logo.

Inside, the C4 Collection also refines its ambiance. The door panels have been specifically developed, incorporating medallions and armrests in grey TEP fabric. They perfectly match the "Urban Grey" Citroën Advanced Comfort seats, enhanced by Blanc Curitiba fabric inserts that brighten the upper part of the backrests, creating tonal unity and a serene atmosphere in the cabin. Specific floor mats, edged with a grey TEP trim and "Rouge André" stitching, featuring a woven "Collection" logo, complete this refined interior ambiance. The dashboard, meanwhile, is adorned with a soft-touch material featuring a "chevron" screen print, recalling the brand's strong identity.

The C4 Collection is available in several body colours: Okenite White, Mercury Grey, Perla Nera Black, and Eclipse Blue. Each of these options allows the customer to personalize the appearance of their vehicle according to their preferences.

C for connectivity and comfort: an optimal onboard experience

True to the brand's philosophy focused on well-being, the C4 Collection incorporates numerous features designed to transform every journey into a moment of serenity and ease.

The instrumentation is modern and intuitive, with a 7’’ high-definition digital cluster behind the steering wheel offering optimal clarity. It is paired with a 10’’ HD touchscreen, the core of the latest-generation infotainment system. This system includes connected 3D navigation, known for its fluidity, speed, and ergonomics. The interface is fully customizable thanks to a "widgets" system providing quick access to applications and content. Natural voice recognition, activated via "Hello Citroën," understands commands and answers questions, facilitating interaction without taking eyes off the road. Wireless smartphone mirroring (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) on the 10’’ screen eliminates cable clutter, and "over the air" updates ensure the system remains current.

Even more notably, the C4 Collection benefits from the integration of ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, accessible via the "Connect Plus" Pack. This generative artificial intelligence makes the voice assistant even more powerful and natural, transforming the cabin into an intelligent and interactive living space.

Comfort is a cornerstone of the C4, and the Collection version demonstrates this eloquently. The Advanced Comfort® seats, true invitations to travel, stand out with their padded appearance and exceptional seating comfort. Thanks to 15mm thicker foam and a high-density layer at the core of the seat, they offer a soft welcome and improved dynamic support, even on long distances. Postural comfort is ensured by height and lumbar adjustments for the driver.

Combined with Citroën Advanced Comfort® suspensions featuring Progressive Hydraulic Cushions®, these seats create a "magic carpet ride" sensation, effectively filtering out road imperfections for a smooth and soothing drive. This technology represents a significant advancement over traditional suspensions, guaranteeing a simplified and serene onboard experience.

Finally, the C4 Collection enhances daily ease of use with Proximity Keyless Entry and Start. Simply having the key on you is enough to unlock, lock, and start the vehicle, adding a layer of significant convenience.

Electrified powertrains: performance, versatility, and a competitive offer

The Citroën C4 Collection is fully aligned with the brand's electrification strategy, offering two efficient powertrains adapted to various needs. These options represent the best of the C4 in terms of efficiency and driving pleasure.

The first option is the Hybrid 145 ë-DCS6 powertrain. Easy to use and versatile, it provides an electrified experience for daily driving without requiring charging at a station. The 48V technology offers significant fuel consumption and CO2 emission savings (around 20% in mixed driving, and up to 50% in electric mode in urban areas), contributing to budget control and carbon footprint reduction. The automatic and smooth management between the internal combustion engine (1.2L PureTech 136 hp) and the electric motor (21 kW) via the ë-DCS6 gearbox ensures optimal driving comfort, with battery recharging during deceleration phases.

For those wishing to go 100% electric, the C4 Collection is also available with the Electric 156 hp powertrain offering an extended range of 415 km (WLTP cycle). This version, equipped with a 54 kWh battery and a 115 kW motor, is particularly suitable for extra-urban journeys and users covering longer distances regularly. Citroën has made the strategic choice of contained battery sizes to limit weight and cost while ensuring compatibility with long trips thanks to fast charging up to 100 kW. "ë-Comfort" translates into smooth, silent, and vibration-free driving, with instant torque available for brisk acceleration.

The electric version also integrates practical features such as the ability to limit charging to 80% (via the infotainment system) to optimize charging time and preserve battery longevity. A smart trip planner integrated into the connected 3D navigation optimizes routes in real-time, taking into account vehicle data, traffic, and charging station availability.

Finally, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, allowing the vehicle to power external electrical devices, will be integrated into the ë-C4 Collection from July 1, 2025, via an accessory adapter, transforming the car into a mobile power source.

The C4 Collection has been available to order in France since May, starting from €33,100. Based on the PLUS trim level, the core of the New C4 range, this generously equipped edition is positioned as a particularly attractive offer. It provides a level of equipment often reserved for higher trims at a very competitive price point, making it a great opportunity for customers.

With the launch of this first "Collection" special series, Citroën aims to continue highlighting its New C4. After a well-received restyling in January 2025, which helped the C4 maintain its 2nd place in the generalist C-segment in Europe, this special edition seeks to rekindle interest in the compact sedan. By refining its style with distinctive contrasting elements and offering a generous level of equipment focused on comfort and connectivity, the C4 Collection is aimed at customers who seek a vehicle with an assertive look without compromising onboard well-being. It is a relevant proposition that, while capitalizing on the strengths of the restyled C4, brings a touch of exclusivity and optimism, promising to attract new customers and solidify the success of Citroën's electrified compact sedan.
