Citroën continues its offensive in Latin America with the launch of the C3 You in Argentina, just a few months after its launch in Brazil. This new model, with its premium finish, reflects the French brand's strategy of offering better equipped versions to meet the expectations of local markets.
The Citroën C3 You is a special premium version.
Argentina welcomes the Citroën C3 You, a version launched in Brazil a few weeks ago. Unlike in Europe, where the "You" badge designates an entry-level version, this model is positioned as a premium model. It is equipped with the 120 bhp Turbo T200 engine, mated to a seven-speed CVT automatic transmission, and offers exclusive features that give it a premium status.
"This new version of the accessible, innovative and practical model is equipped with the award-winning 120 bhp Turbo T200 engine, coupled to a 7-speed CVT automatic transmission, as well as various exclusive customisation and design elements," says the brand, for whom this unique combination offers power, performance and accessibility.
Built on the STLA Smart platform, this version weighs only 1,115 kg, an advantage that improves the vehicle's performance and efficiency. The C3 You's SUV attitude is also reflected in its meticulous design and exclusive features, such as leather seats with emerald blue detailing, personalised floor mats, fog light mouldings and distinctive badging. Two-tone body options with a black roof enhance the contemporary look of this compact saloon.
Settings for optimum performance
To accommodate the Turbo T200 engine, Citroën has adjusted the suspension, brakes and electric steering to ensure better dynamics. Three driving modes are also available: automatic for efficiency, sport for greater agility and manual for personalised control of the gears via the gear lever. These adaptations make the C3 You a model that meets the expectations of Argentinean drivers looking for both performance and optimal comfort.
The C3 You will be launched in Argentina at a price of ARS 24,740,000, or approximately €23,000. This price positioning makes it one of the most affordable turbocharged small cars on the local market, a strong argument in a very competitive segment.
The year 2024 looks promising for Citroën in Argentina. After recording an increase in sales in a weak market, the brand continues to diversify its offer with models adapted to local needs. While the Basalt SUV is also making its debut, Citroën is maintaining the appeal of its existing range, notably with this new high-end version of the C3. This strategy demonstrates Citroën's desire to meet the different expectations of drivers and consolidate its presence on the South American market.
