Citroën C3: a slightly revised range in France

The new Citroën C3 in red

A few months ago Citroën changed the names of its trim levels to You, Plus and Max and logically we thought that the range of the new C3 would be structured around its trim levels. However, Citroën has decided to simplify the range to the extreme, offering only the entry-level You version and the top-of-the-range Max, quickly joined by an optional Plus pack that fills the gap between the two versions.

Since the launch of the C3, the You, Plus and Max versions have been added to the range of the brand's other models, with the exception of the C3 Aircross, for which the Plus package remains an additional option to the You version.

A clearer range at last

Things have changed since the beginning of the year as Citroën France has decided to slightly revise the C3 and C3 Aircross range, which is now structured around three levels of equipment: You, Plus and Max, making things clearer and easier to understand.

So no more ambiguous ranges where the Plus finish was an extra option pack, things are now simpler and clearer with three clearly defined levels of finish, which is good at this level of the range. The change in finishes is not the only new feature for the C3 and C3 Aircross, as prices have risen slightly.

Rising prices

At the end of 2024, Citroën had slightly increased the prices of its range, with the exception of the C3 and C3 Aircross. The situation changes at the beginning of 2025, when the brand's small saloon sees a slight increase in its prices.

The new C3 will see the price of its thermal range increase by €250 for all versions without any change in equipment. The new C3 You now starts at €15,240 compared to €14,990 previously, while the Plus version now costs €17,750 and the Max version goes up to €19,450.

Prices are also increasing for the hybrid engine, which is still only available in the Plus and Max trims, with prices now starting at €20,450 and €22,150 respectively.

Please note that there will be no price increase or equipment changes for the 100% electric versions at the beginning of 2025.

In conclusion, it is a fairly modest increase that the C3 is experiencing and that all cars experience during their life. Despite this increase, the C3 remains significantly cheaper than its French competitors and remains within the Dacia price range, especially for the You versions. Finally, the increase only applies to thermal and hybrid engines, a sign of the times in a year 2025 where electric will have to progress strongly, the brand leaves prices at their previous levels.
