Since 12 September, Citroën has been proudly presenting its new ë-C3, the brand's most accessible electric car, on a tour of the United Kingdom. This model, which symbolises Citroën's ambition to make electric driving accessible to all, is currently on display in several major British cities.
A tour in action
After kicking off in Nottingham on 12th September, the tour has already stopped in Manchester and will continue until 21st September with stops in Glasgow, Leeds and London. The tour will give the British public the chance to see not only the new ë-C3, but also the ë-C4, the new ë-Berlingo van and the iconic 100% electric Ami.
The next stops on the tour are
Glasgow - Argyle Street - Tuesday 17th September
Leeds - Briggate Primary School - Thursday 19th September
London - Observation Point - Saturday 21st September
Each stop will feature interactive activities, allowing the public to experience the electric range in real-life conditions. The new ë-Berlingo van has even been transformed into a safe for a competition where participants can try to win a 100% electric Ami.
Greg Taylor, managing director of Citroën UK, said: "Our aim is to make electric driving more accessible. The UK launch of the new ë-C3, our affordable small city hatchback, will show that it is designed specifically for city driving. It demonstrates that Citroën is delivering a solution that meets the everyday needs of our customers and makes the transition to electrification as seamless as possible".
A growing market
The tour of the new ë-C3 in the United Kingdom comes at a favourable time for electric vehicles. The UK market has a higher share of electric vehicles than many European countries, which is a strategic advantage for Citroën. In 2023, sales of electric vehicles in the UK will continue to grow, demonstrating consumers' appetite for more sustainable mobility solutions.
With a comprehensive electric range including the ë-C4, ë-Berlingo and Ami, Citroën is ideally positioned to meet this growing demand and the success of the new ë-C3 could well strengthen Citroën's presence in this promising market.
