The brand-new Citroën Ami Dark Side special edition is here to shake up conventions and offer a new personality to the electric quadricycle that has already captured the hearts of over 85,000 users, especially among younger generations. As a true everyday companion, the Ami has always been synonymous with friendliness and a playful spirit. With this limited edition, it retains its endearing character but ventures into a darker, more mysterious world, without ever losing its charm. This bold transformation once again demonstrates the versatility and infinite creative potential of this remarkable mobility object.
An exclusive exterior style: matte black for an assertive personality
The first thing that stands out about the Ami Dark Side is its stylistic boldness. For the very first time, the Citroën Ami sheds its usually colorful hues to be draped in a full Black Night livery. This is not just any black, but a deep and exclusive matte black finish that completely transforms how it is perceived. Depending on the angle and lighting, the Ami seems to shift between a rebellious, almost stealthy character and the timeless elegance of a little black dress, ready for a night out. This duality is at the heart of the concept: preserving the Ami's cheerful spirit, which was reinforced with its 2025 redesign, while offering a more mature and sophisticated alternative.
This theme of contrast is brilliantly executed by the brand's designers. The black bodywork is subtly enhanced by white graphic elements that create a striking visual impact. The front capsule, which forms a wide smile beneath the Ami's new expressive gaze, features a matte black-plated decoration highlighted by a delicate white pinstripe, accentuating the white Citroën logo. Citroën has decided not to keep enthusiasts waiting: orders for the Ami Dark Side are open as of this October 31st, on Halloween night. The price is set at €8,890 (including VAT), with the first deliveries expected in January 2026. This special edition will be available in France and several other European countries: Germany, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Notably, the My Ami Cargo utility version and the My Ami for All version for people with reduced mobility will also be available in the Dark Side finish.
With over 85,000 units sold, the success of the Citroën Ami is undeniable.
