Almost six months after its official presentation, Citroën's new SUV is officially entering the Indian market, a few days after the opening of pre-orders, which allowed it to offer an aggressive initial price. With the opening of orders, Citroën communicates the entire range, is it still as competitive?
On 15th September Citroën opened pre-orders for its new C3 Aircross SUV with a starting price of less than one million Indian Rupees (11,400 Euros), making it very competitive in its segment.
While the first deliveries should take place from mid-October, Citroën is therefore opening orders for the C3 Aircross and revealing all the prices, even if you have known them for a few days, but you will see that some small changes have taken place.
With the C3 Aircross, Citroën presents its second vehicle designed and manufactured in India for the Asian region with a local integration rate of more than 90%, which allows the brand to keep its prices more competitive in one of the most competitive market segments.
Roland Bouchara, CEO and Managing Director, Stellantis India, said, "We are delighted to launch the much-awaited new C3 Aircross SUV, designed, developed and manufactured in India for discerning consumers. This mid-size SUV is built with key elements of Citroën's DNA: comfort and innovation. It has been well received across the country since bookings began in September. We are ramping up production to meet end-of-year holiday demand. Our expanded and ever-growing network of showrooms and workshops is ready to deliver the new C3 Aircross SUV with its cutting-edge features, eye-catching distinctive styling and unrivalled versatility. "
The price range is therefore as follows
C3 Aircross You 5P: Rs 999,000 or €11,400
C3 Aircross Plus 5 P: 1,134,000 rupees or €12,980
C3 Aircross Max 5P: 1,199,000 Rupees or 13,700 Euros
C3 AircrossPlus 7P: 1,169,000 Rupees or 13,380 Euros
C3 Aircross Max 7P: 1,234,000 rupees or €14,100
The difference between the 5 and 7 seater versions is only €1,400.
The new C3 Aircross SUV comes with a standard warranty programme of 2 years or 40,000 km (whichever comes first), including 24/7 roadside assistance and a 12-month or 10,000 km accessories warranty (whichever comes first). Citroën also offers extended warranty and maintenance packages available throughout its network.
To mark this launch, Citroën is also offering customers who order their C3 Aircross the opportunity to pay three months later, in 2024, and be among the first to discover the company's latest SUV. In particular, they will be able to discover its comfort, which is intended to be total, since the C3 Aircross is equipped on the Indian market with the Advanced Comfort suspensions dear to Citroën and which guarantee exceptional driving comfort.
The Citroën C3 Aircross therefore arrives on the Indian market with solid assets, starting with a more refined style that has won over critics since its presentation, good habitability and modularity, a 7-seater version that is quite unique on the market. The brand is reasonable on price, aware of the equipment gaps that the C3 Aircross could experience compared to its rivals (manual air conditioning, among others) and a unique engine range consisting of the 1.2 Puretech 110 hp engine combined with a manual gearbox. .
