Citroën C3 tops sales in France in January 2025

Citroën started 2025 with a bang in France, where the C3 became the best-selling car in January. A real success that confirms the relevance of the brand's strategy and opens up great prospects for next year.


Citroën C3: the success of a profitable strategy

The Citroën C3 has made a brilliant start to the year 2025, taking the number one spot on the passenger car market in January with a market share of 5.4%. The electric version, the ë-C3, is not far behind, taking second place with 1,562 units sold.


These excellent results show that Citroën's offer is in line with the expectations of French consumers. As Sébastien Caron, Director of Citroën France, points out: "These results show that our commitment to accessible and sustainable mobility is in line with the expectations of French customers. With the new ë-C3, we offer a competitive electric solution that embodies Citroën's DNA: innovation, comfort and ease of use".


Citroën C4 and Ami: solid performances in anticipation of the C3 Aircross

In addition to the success of the C3, Citroën can also congratulate itself on the performance of the C4, which is the second best-selling compact sedan. The Citroën Ami continues to dominate the light electric quadricycle market for the fifth year running.


Despite these positive results, Citroën still suffers from the absence of the C3 Aircross, a model that is missing from the range to fully compete in the compact SUV segment. Its arrival, scheduled for the course of 2025, should allow the brand to fill this gap and strengthen its presence on the market.


This promising start to 2025 puts Citroën in an excellent position for the rest of the year. The forthcoming arrival of the C3 Aircross and C3 Hybrid, which will begin deliveries in the first half of the year, should allow the brand to take a new step forward and regain its leading position on the French market.
